What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Hope you are charging the cat extra for the availability of extra food?
Or you could put the rent up?
Have mentioned the possible installation of a mechanical door closer... suggestion was not well recieved

The cherry toms and herbs are finally dehydrated sufficiently.
After long day in the garden am a bit tired this morning, but pressing on. Dull day so pleased i worked outside yesterday. Would like to finish clearing the vegetable bed i was working on but MrSlim wants me to take him shopping ...

Those old typewriters were much easier for me to use because our fingers were above the keys rather than sideways on as they are on a modern keyboard. It took a lot of force to tap the keys down. Our keyboards were covered as well, while we learned where the keys were to be found, but we didn't have music. The pressure required on the keys made it a bit difficult for me to transfer onto an electric typewriter because I kept ending up with duplicated letters due to the sensitivity of the electric keyboard. Unfortunately, I was working in a legal office at the time, keying in wills and so on, which had to be perfect and unaltered to fix mistakes. Made for fast learning.
Yes, although much kinder to our fingers it was quite hard to get used to the electric typewriter.

Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen and those who remember how to tie shoe laces.

Blood sugars this morning were 4.7 drat, grump and mutter, now to raise them just enough to be able to ride my motorcycle, but not overshoot, it is possible, but partial differentiation ( calculus ) is easier.

Now I must wish you all well, stay safe and horror upon horrors Strickly come Dancing is back on the idiot box and Mrs J insists on watching it, but luckily fast forwards through waffley bits. Shame Mrs J doesn’t fast forward through the whole thing.

Good morning everyone from a pre-sunrise start here in the dark and dangerous north. Still positive - blast. Ordered more test kits, thankfully I am not required to pay for them. The whole atmosphere of the house changed yesterday as Mrs Miggins decided that we need to prepare for winter. So, all the light bedding off and replaced with a quilt - ooh! It was like sleeping under the gravitational influence of Jupiter. The fire was also lit last night. After an hour it was like we had been having a lunchtime nap on Shipwreck Beach. Still, the heating has not come on yet so I have only charged her for the briquettes and a couple of logs. Art bit, another Zen brush stroke using red sumi-e ink. I hope the unfolding day is a good one for you. I need to make some koffy.

Is that skier jolly, or out of control?

You would be better off Alf differentiating twice and finding the max min points! ;)

I also learnt to type on an imperial. Luckily it didn't have a shield.
We had to keep in time with the William Tell Overture - which was great fun.
I also learnt to type at school on an Imperial, no shield. But my disadvantage was I could not hear the gramophone record playing. I had no idea it was music playing that you were supposed to keep in time with. So, obviously I went my own sweet way typing much to the teacher's annoyance with me. She didn't understand the concept of deafness, and I did not understand the concept of music. I was the only deaf child in an all hearing school.

Hello all,
Took Helen to Carlisle Station yesterday pm for a late afternoon train from Glasgow to Warrington
She is doing some work this week so has to be home.
She has been a great help to her Mum from Friday.

I have been pretty rough these last two days particularly in an am. Saturation 91% oxygen this am.
It will be difficult because it will be some days before Marjorie can stand again, she has to keep her leg up or keep walking and I cannot stand or walk around much.

Got to go into Carlisle tomorrow am to see dermatology dept. Not so good driving myself, without my co pilot.

I am late today. Had some stuff to do early, and by chance saw a new breakfast place in a pub. So, I entered the establishment...

I thought the breakfast was a very reasonable price. But when the guy added up brekkie and coffee on the till, he said £3.25. I said the breakfast alone comes to more than that, have you keyed in the right breakfast. He had, and said that's what the till shows. I have no complaints I said if I can have breakfast and refillable coffee at that price. And so I did, and the breakfast was delicious, and low carb.

And the place was deserted at 8 am in the morning...nice and peaceful...

And when I got home a couple of hours later my bg was 6.1. I would say that was pretty much perfect for me.

Do you think I dare try again next Monday?

Back in an a hour or so, still got editing to do and finish the half finished painting...

Catch you later...

Morning all from a still sunny and warm enough for shorts and doors open lifestyle here in L.A. Rain is promised this week so I shall see how well the newly cleared and realigned gutters work for the £40 - plus cup of basic builders - we invested. Fbg from errant last few hours sensor was 5.6 which is entirely possible but doesn't match any previous outcomes from similar days to yesterday. The mini Christmas meal went well. It would have been perfectly fine for an actual Christmas day. Amazing how modern farmers can breed half turkeys - surely they continually topple over while free ranging? The event was helped by a delay which meant football was allowed to be watched during the meal. #3 son, The Little Guy and his Big Sister swayed all opposition; I'd put it on record but jumped at the opportunity. @alf_Josiah the log store looks peng as you young bucks say. Methinks the man doth protest too much re Strictly - performative posting?. @dunelm thanks for sharing the art - a pre/ overdone après-ski' person. Hug for the unilateral (the people have spoken, well 50%) change of seasons way up there. @Annb hug for the higher fbg but winner for the tale of Neal and the passing place. Congratulations to Wales rugby team. Since Thursday is brown green bin day I may cut some grass (requires socks :arghh:) - so rock-n-roll me. Y'all have as good a day as you can.

6.8 on this sunny am! Quite warm, with the wind easing for now. Storm A coming through Tuesday evening and Wednesday, maybe Thursday as well! So batten down the hatches!
Lawn is looking good, Autumn blooms still flowering.
Hopefully the big black clouds stay somewhere away from overhead.

The Scots are driving us to independence.
The Welsh are driving us crazy.
The English are driving everyone into poverty!

Have a manic Monday!

I was out this morning. I was also checking the menu on the car, and the so called safety features on the car. I have looked at them before and the names/terms used did not mean a thing to me. But I have been googling and YouTubing the features my car has. Many of them were already turned on when I got the car, and I was debating turning some off because they were downright annoying. My daughter from Australia, when she was here, wanted to turn these features off, because she found the alarms annoying, and they did distract me because I wasn't expecting them. But they were completely new to me and I simply wasn't expecting them. She has similar alarms in her car in Australia and she turned them all off.

This week my project is to find out all the extra safety features this car has, Google & YouTube...and get the car manual out of the glove box.

The cruise feature looks useful for coming down my steep hill. By the way Cruise on my car starts at 20mph. According to the YouTube video for my car you either flick a switch to override it, or floor a pedal - I presume the brake pedal, but I need to watch all these videos a few times more...

I won't be attempting it yet...

3 Badgers - Ma & Pa & their boy Badger on a stormy rainy night
Only 3 badgers this night of the badger family. There's the male badger, his female badger, and their son, whom I called a boy badger because he looked like his father and copies his father (but obviously I have no idea of the sex of the young badgers, yet).
There is a girl badger, again I called it a girl because it looked very much like the mum, but Again I have no idea as to the sex. But I have not seen the girl badger for a bit. She was smaller than her brother who has got quite big now.
The boy badger is nearly as big as his dad and copies his dad trying to look on the swing. The female badger has shown no interest looking on the swing.

Creative is an acrylic painting done in the garage. These will be used for my postcard friends. But I am not finishing them off with actual paint or drawings yet (that will come when the recipient says their interests for subject of the postcard). I am putting the acrylic paintings into Procreate and trying out some ideas, which I may or may not use for the finished paintings....

I like the waterfalls (I created in Procreate) on this one, and it would be easy enough to re create them with my Posca pens.

I need a nap. I am tired now.

Catch you later.

Have a good day...

Thank you for sharing the creative with all these autumn colours - well, to me anyhow. Those badgers must be being well fed as they look very powerful. I was surprised how they seem so wary of Midnight but this explained more for me.. Good news on the breakfast. Quadruple winner - taste, cost, very socially distanced and effect on bg. I hope the nap is/was (and ever shall be) good.

It was such a shame that your teacher did not understand the concept of deafness. You would have thought that a teacher would have been the one person who would have completely understood the concept of deafness. Although looking back to my school days there were some teachers who perhaps should never have been teachers.
