What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thank you @ianpspurs - Christmas crackers - now there’s an idea . Korea - a nasty affair and like most of these things due to either the incompetence of our so called leaders in their skills of negotiation or some bully boy wanting your garden because the grass is greener. If it’s cold - wear a coat, nobody will mind.

@gennepher hug for your daughter's love for those roos. Thank you for sharing the creative - about now we need some brightness. @Annb that man was Stephen Flynn, SNP leader in Westminster. As it is Deepavali here's a wish:
May the (divine) light of Diwali fill your life with peace, prosperity, and happiness. Have a blessed Diwali. May this Diwali bring you endless opportunities, success, and prosperity. Have a wealthy and happy Diwali.

It is strange. You're right. Nowt so strange as folk!
If you read in the media that 3 million cats, dogs or pets of any description, were being denied food, warmth or even a home. Or the government were denying it was happening. There would be so much outrage.
So why is it, when announced it was kids, a couple of weeks ago, it didn't appear in most of the media. And nowt happened?
Unbelievable.
I know poverty, and it is something that shouldn't be happening these days!
This country is so perverse and broken.

I might have known that, Ian. I guess he is a republican so wouldn't want to join in the national anthem. Still doesn't mean he shouldn't show respect for those men and women who gave life and limb for their country and Commonwealth. He is benefiting from their sacrifices, just like the rest of us. If he didn't feel able to play his part, he should have had someone deputise for him.

I don't think its right comparing charities for animals with charities for Children. It's an indictment on society that Children cannot be funded by their parents or the State but sadly they do need that kind of help, particularly in some countries.

I don't like seeing comparisons being made when people give money to things they feel strongly about is being seen as them making an alternative to children as some charity choice.

Very often those who give to animal charities also give to charities that help families and children as well.

I would love to be able to give to all the charities that appeal for help but have to decide which I can afford to support. I do come down on the side of children's charities because I'm pretty sure that animal charities, as a sector, receive more support than those for children. When I was able, I used to volunteer for Save the Children and donate to other children's charities. Now I can't do that. Sadly, the animal charities lose out. The animal charity sector though, has many organisations so donations are spread fairly thinly.

Up at 0230 with BG of 11.4. Still 11.1 almost three hours later. Too early for breakfast yet, so I'll just keep going on cups of tea meantime and hope it goes down without any help. Might just be wishful thinking.

Sadly not all charities are equal and even when they are not questionable some are poor exàmples of routes for money to give the best investment for mankind and life on the planet.

A certain very old man's daughter knew well the best route to use charity money. She wasn't being cruel but kind to herself.

Have a good day all.

I am taking my Octavia in for service early then costing up four new tyres for winter.
Raining hard today I hope I don't get wet.

Creative - I have a lot of paintings begun in Procreate (Procreate saves them all in its own folder!), so as I am very busy this week I decided to choose the best ones and then finish them off! Here is my first offering...

Storm Debi is a bit blowy and wet. Does the rain ever stop? But a friend of mine reminded me that I grumbled last winter because of the incessant rain...

Time for another cuppa in the warmth of my bed...
