What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Got up at 6:30 as I thought I was going to be sick no reason why! Went back to bed. BG at 7:30 was 8.0! obviously DP had kicked in by then. Still feeling sick and I have an infected synovial cyst on my finger

Have a happy Monday everyone x
Oh dear! Wishing you a speedy recovery and a drop in your BG as a result.

@Ashybang - Ouch! Stay with the program bruvver. What this tells me is that whatever your EndoSya is doing to hammer down numbers, it is.
I had a Mars bar and a banana last night ( been struggling with cravings last few days)...... yeah it raised blood sugar right up, but things back to normal today n I'm behaving I think ....
Had cheese n bacon omelette earlier and have chicken and veggies planned for later today.
Greek yoghurt as an in between.
2 x Coffees and that's it todayapart from no sugar orange squash for hydration.
Hope I'm OK with that and my reading doesn't blast up.......
Thanks though for reminder.
It's tough kicking all the old bad habits into touch, but has to be done.
Temptation beat me yesterday, but I have it locked today.......

@Ashybang ….. OK, Banana, for me Spawn o‘ The Devil. When I want a chocolate treat, Sainsburys Taste the Difference Ugandan Dark Chocolate 90% cocoa solids - yah don’t need much. The rest of your diet above, can’t quibble much there.

You’re doing well buddy.
I'm still learning. Banana seems to be a problem for many, so I'll have to go extra careful and I need to do a shop and buy a little of the high cocoa chocolate for a time when I feel it's warranted.
I was punished last night for my deeds...... was awake with foot cramps, well mainly in my toes and my feet were burning n felt bruised as hell even when lying down with no weight on them.
Hope it's a better night tonight.
Just taken a reading and it's a steady 8.9 before I cook and eat my tea/ dinner. Could do with that reading tomorrow morning.

When I was first diagnosed in 2003, I used to eat half a banana and put the rest in the fridge for the next day. I can't get away with even half a banana these days, so I take the easy route and leave them on the supermarket shelf.

Have you tried Montezuma's Absolute Black 100% cocoa chocolate bars, with no added sugar, no gluten, soya free and made without dairy ingredients? Perfect if you follow a keto or low-carb lifestyle, also for those with food intolerances, I imagine.

It's made in Sussex and available from Sainsbury's and Waitrose. Perhaps it's an acquired taste, but quickly grew on me. It's rich and intense, so a little to round off lunch goes a long way.
