What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg 6.6

Unfortunately for the rest of you I will be testing the next few days...
But you can bet your bottom dollar that I have some treats lined up...
Stollen
Black magic chocolates, they are in the freezer to make then last...
Revels (just one big bag)...
A single baby Xmas pud...and custard...
Ginger biscuits...
Mince Pies...

The second my meter goes into double figures (very easily done and I overheat when that happens and my toes go on fire...), then the rest of the treats will have to wait...

Wild life nighttime video...
What do you think happened the third night...
Did I lose the Badger Battle?
This is the now the third night with the new cushions & coverings...

At the end of the day, this is not appropriate behaviour for badgers to be wrecking the swing.
Pa Badger started this behaviour last year, and his son is following him.
I do not need a whole tribe of badgers on this swing.

What I have done is not put the cushions ( I bought a pile of small cushions from the charity shop) right up to the front of the swing in order to make it harder for the badger to grip on to get on the swing, because now there is a few inches of wood which is the swing before the cushions start....

At the end of the video, the very determined badger is trying to pull the covers off...

Oh dear I think I have abysmally failed in my plan to deter the badgers...

I think I have lost the battle...

In that case...
Merry Christmas from The Tribe...

Good happy Christmas Eve all.

Blood sugars this Morening were 5.7

Things are moving at pace here in Tilehurst Towers, so much so that my eldest son his children and me, me’s and myself are going into town this morning as tradition here dictates to buy little gifts for the grandchildren’s mother then we have a table booked at a restaurant. This tradition started many years ago when I took the children into town on Christmas Eve to buy pocket money toys for their mother, my eldest son has continued the tradition and luckily me, me’s and myself are allowed to join in.

The grandchildren love to count how many telling offs I get from their father. More than I ever gave him, I think.

Whatever you are doing, however you are feeling, cry if you want, but every cloud does have a silver lining all you have to do is find it, then nick it.

Now is it the done thing to have a mince tart for breakfast?
Alfred mince and self identify as a tart to your heart's content especially on your Loretta days. I look forward to seeing you on RuPaul - yeah, right. Oh, have not be a - my bad.

Thanks for the lovely Christmas card and the very best Christmas wishes for you and all of your brood, too. Enjoy those treats - pity about the mince pies - did they change the recipe?

I tasted one of my mince pies and the mincemeat still tasted a bit odd to me, but the family say they like them, so that's allright. I might have baked them a bit too much (not in any way burned) because I didn't want any soggy bottoms. My oven temperature isn't as reliable as it once was, so I had to put the temperature up a bit towards the end of baking (I didn't want chalk white pastry).

Good morning everyone on what I hope will be a pleasant Christmas Eve for everyone. I have been up since 3am so not testing today and probably won’t tomorrow either, or the day after that - I will be indulging but don’t let tell anyone. Grandson, Mr Pickle, had his leg cast removed after having it on for six weeks after an ACL operation. The medics are pleased with the results but it’s crutches for another few weeks poor lad and no footy. Apart from that, if you started your advent calendar on Advent Sunday you will be rewarded tomorrow with extra things depending upon how fancy a calendar you have. Art bit - something Christmassy. Hope you all have a smashing Christmas Eve and all the very best for Christmas if I don’t make it tomorrow. Best make some more koffy now.

Thanks for the Christmas "card". Full of Christmassy images and a cheery robin. Hope your grandson's leg heals well and soon. Maybe just as well to stay away from the football for a while, even once healed. The winner was for you, but I would have given a hug for your grandson as well, if I could.

6.2 this day of chrimbo eve.
When every one will be hoping for something special!

I wasn't too good myself yesterday, I was doing too much yesterday when I did what I shouldn't have and my neck began to hurt I went dizzy I say down, my body started usual ng, as if I had just got up, when the shaking went uncontrollable, I had to lie down. After a while, it settled but my nervous system was making me feel off.
It did settle, but I felt more weird than usual. This lasted most of the day. Every time I had to do something, I was giddy and a sinking feeling, tremors and a headache. I tested a couple of times but fine.

Morning all.

Last day at work before the main event .

For those of you in Team Christmassy.....have a blessed day.

For those like myself on Team Grinchey...smile & be nice.

Only one more day to go and it's all over for another year... ;)

What ever you do, stay safe, enjoy the day in whatever manner you chose.

See you all on the other side.

Stupid pad!
Having issues with it!I

To continue,
I had a bad sleep, but slept in, my neck is still iffy, but after half an hour and a cuppa, I'm not bad!
Mrs L, made me a snack and a cuppa, feeling sorry for me, about an hour before bed.
Bless her!
Which reminds me of a song.
I will write lyrics later.

My garden is sprouting so many spring bulbs, and the Autumn plants are flowering again, it's like early March.
A tidy up, before Mrs L wakes! It is now sixteen degrees, on my thermometer, drizzle and cloudy, but the wind has dropped. Back in shorts and T shirt.

The gammon was beautiful and gone.
Another piece is slowly cooking for the evening eve of chrimbo.
More onion added to the pot.
Who is eating this?
Mind you #4 son was around watching the footie.
He will be around later to pick up bikes for #5 & #7. Hope they don't need assembling!
I thought I had finished with chrimbo eve building toys. I'm not Santa or an elf!

#7 has started collecting Christmas elves. Hopefully they have done their duty In Santa 's grotto for tonight?

I really hope you have a wondrous chrimbo and a peaceful festive time.
Or, hope you have a riotous, party time, and enjoy it thoroughly!

The lyrics.
God Bless Whoever Sent You.
By my favourite Motown band The Originals.

You're much too beautiful
To be part of the human race.
Whoever carved those features
On your Angel face.
If I put you on a pedestal
Girl, that's where you belong.
I'm building my world around you
So please don't let me down.

Chorus.

God bless whoever sent you
I really needed you.
God bless whoever sent you
I really needed you.

You could take a sinner
And turn him into a saint
You took a nervous guy like me
And made me something I aint
My life was like a dark old room
Until you gave me your love
Now you walk among my thoughts
Girl, you're just too much

Chorus.

Did you know men get butterflies
Oh, they really do
Girl, I get butterflies
Every time I look at you
Honey, what I found in you
I ain't found in anyone else
And if the man above made anything better
He kept her for Himself.

Chorus repeated.

End.

This is how I feel about Mrs L.
And in some respect.
Due to the responses I have had from you lot and your kindness.
It can be a similar sentiment from me to you lot!
I know, very soppy!
But thanks a lot you lot!

Merry, merry, merry Christmas.
May your wishes and dreams come true!

Another episode of one of my dreams! Horrific!
Tell you soon, cuppa and gammon need my attention.

My bestest Christmas wishes to you all as always!

Thank you @Annb. The poor lad is in a football academy. He will miss all this season and then will have to fight for a place again next year.
