What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Ok @Genn....I found midnight, the one eared cat
....how do i claim my prize

Reminds me, we went fuerteventura one year.

Steph was small & they had a kids club and a 'Cat hotel'...(seems to be a thing there )

Anyway one cat, both ears off, became a frequent visitor once word got out our rooms was where the cat 'Suckers' hung out.

Used to roll up and TAP on window to let us know it was there...:hilarious:

So we always give the cats a name, so when we talk about them we know which one we mean.

He was 'No Ears'.. said with sadness, but making it entirely clear which one he was.

We didn't change the world for him.
But I like to think the love he got those 3 weeks changed a few days for him.
Your prize!

Your a joy to know jjraak.

Every body should know what really matters is caring for all our fellow humans, life and ecoystems.
This is natural for men and women who were said to be good.
To break faith with it the only serious error intelligent life should be aware of.
It is often kept best by planet loving atheists and failed to do so by self righteous religionists.
For me Jesus distilled it in a few words, love of God and neighbour.

Love 'agape', not our under standing of love, but your love for the poor abused cat.

So what really matters, Neandertal, Sapien, or human kind today, have a mutual love for and are stewards of space ship earth.
Everything else does not have the same seriousness.

God help us, an innocent two year old shouldn't starve to death beside his dead father, being alone in life and still a pathetic little mite later
It made me cry jjraak.

Thank you @ianpspurs
I did end up getting several commissions for quite a few school text poetry books from this print/graphic design experience but it paid poorly...
A witch...jumping out of the red...I am a bit limited here, but here is the best I can do...
EDIT: And the witch's cat is there...somewhere...

Very artistic.

Am a little e jealous, having never seen waxwings. Although I did spend several hours lying down on Hartlebury Common watching a flock of crossbills once. Got lots of strange looks, lying down in the Heather because neck was aching.
That reminds me of J & me @SlimLizzy
J was telling me of skylarks that were singing out of sight above us. And then told me they dive bombed out of the sky, and stopped just short of crashing to the ground. I couldn't hear their song, it was before the cochlear implant.
It was the sand dunes at Talacre.
We ended up lying side by side in the sand dunes, and it was more fun than straining our necks to see them. Until a group of children came across us and ran away screaming. What did they think they saw? Dead bodies? Two naughty people? J & I thought it wise to get up and saunter away before any parents came to investigate us...

Oh dear. What went wrong today...
Fbg 6.9 this morning.
But it is still in the sixes, so that is good.

So why not a round 6?
I did something a bit different late yesterday afternoon, not intentionally.
With this FODMAP way of eating, I have been able to introduce more fruit into my diet and it suggests you can have two small mandarins or clementines, as well as other fruit. Now I can go back to my rainbow way of eating...which J introduced me to long ago.

I had bought a little cardboard tray of them. I thought they would be more protected than loose clementines in a string bag. But I was wrong. Someone, I'm assuming the shelf stacker had dropped something sharp and heavy into this box of Clementines, which I did not notice when I bought them. They still looked perfect, but a few days later, yesterday I noticed a couple of them were not looking so good and then I realised they'd split and were going off. I threw away half a dozen of them, and then I chose one that I thought was okay to eat. But last night I made myself nice and comfy and warm on the couch and then I noticed a split in it exposing the fruit and a little bit of it was soft so I just couldn't eat it and that put me right off eating my evening one yesterday.

Normally I have one clementine/mandarin in the afternoon and I have the second one in the evening. The second one in the evening seems to settle my tummy for the night. But I didn't have it last night and I had a bit of an uncomfortable iffy windy tummy all night.

I need another bag of them....

Wildlife nighttime cameras
Cats Jade & Chunky Marmalade & Fox & Badgers & then it snows...
47secs

AND

Offscreen Jade has caught her supper (mouse) & now she is looking for dessert...Jade is often super alert all night, and sleeps all day on the swing...
55secs

Creative...didn't manage to finish it by this morning, so you get a photo of rose hips and then a wee Robin (who follows me everywhere)...it was difficult to get the Robin in focus, he keeps moving...

Have your best day.

Still -3C here...and more snow...

Shame about the clementines - what a nuisance. Some smashing footage though and a couple of lovely photos. Thanks for sharing.

I just heard the big sister of the two year toddler didnt blame the authorities for the death of her brother.

I find her statement difficult,
to say the least.
What a terrible thing to happen and I suppose that all will out in the end. We found the news of this very difficult to take in.

Good morning everyone on another chilly start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.2 this am. A stomp though the snowy streets to the doctors yesterday and a similar return. Walking boots needed but back did not complain, which is nice. 95 year old neighbour called round on his early evening walk for a mug of tea and a chat. He tells me that the Methodist church is being sold due to rising costs and falling numbers but the attached community centre will remain. It’s well used by all sorts of community groups and you get a good mug of tea in that community centre - koffy - not so good but it’s hot, and cheap and the place offers a nice warm welcome to all so pleased that it will also not be sold. Art bit. Not much time yesterday so just a quick sketch on a bit of 3 x 6 rough handmade paper that I think my mother may have made. Hope your day gives you some warmth. My koffy is ready.

Very effective...love this @dunelm

Morning all on a balmy -3 Super Salmon Salad Friday in L.A. Hugs for @gennepher over the clementines (my mum told our boys they were Oh my darlings) @lindisfel[/USER] and anyone else over the impact of news of the tragic death of that two year. The big question is why do humans have this (correct) deep feeling that "something" is wrong? It is but we all know these things happen even in the best run systems. There but for the Grace of God go our own loved ones. I’ll check on my family but after 4 years I don’t actually know or speak to anyone in this town, or even Close* of 34 houses, other than family, JKP’s Avon lady or one post lady. We have had 3 sets of neighbours either side. One set I spoke to regularly, the latest I gave some de-icer spray and a young girl said hi. @gennepher thanks for sharing the photos. I was thinking that I must have seen all sorts of birds and plants but neither wanted to identify them nor gave them a second thought. Ideas are totally different - much safer. Y'all stay warm - I need more tea.
* I have spoken to the mother of my granddaughter's best friend who lives behind us - she's a teacher.

One lady will be delighted with that post.
Don't know about "One lady". This one loves the word - even Neil had never come across it. He came back with another word we'd never come across - conspecific. We have no definition and can only make guesses as to its meaning: something that shares a description/specification with something else, so something very closely described as another thing?

BG at 0200 was 10.9. Libre woke me up to let me know. Got up at 0345 when it was 8.8. Currently 6.4. Don't know what the 10.9 was about.
