What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hello friends.........
Had a bit of time out and time off from doing finger prick testing, Blood Pressure testing and various other health related activities.
Everything seemed to be bombarding me from all directions with regard to health and to prevent me screaming into a total breakdown, I called a halt on proceedings.
Just looked and I have 12 scheduled appointments in the next few weeks ranging from Cardiology, Cardiothoracic, Dermatology, Physiotherapy, Dentist, Mental Health/ Occupational Therapy, MRI scan appointment and GP, plus a few more in the pipeline that I can't face up to just yet, but all I can say is its a hectic time and I pulled the plug on all home testing for the past couple of weeks.
Had a lovely PM asking about my wellbeing, which I was very happy to receive.
Anyway, if I drift away for a while, it's basically me having a break from things.........

Not been testing, so I've no idea where my body is running at right now but here is my first test result in a couple of weeks.
Not been to bed yet, but about ready for a sleep, so my pre sleep 2.45am reading is BG 8.6 mmol.
I've missed you all and missed the friendly banter that puts a smile on my face every day.
I can't promise to be here most days as things are still very hectic and driving me up the wall...... but I'll keep coming back and hopefully things will settle after this mad manic period.
Nice to hear from you.x

Back to the hive with 5.3 this morning. So maybe I should leave those Werthers alone. I don't care, its Friday, its sunny and its the weekend tomorrow!

Good to see you @Ashybang, everyone needs time out now and again, worth just focussing on getting well.
@MissMuffett don't do what I did and say no if doctor asks you whether you want an HbA1c, no idea why I did that because I really want to know whether what I'm doing is working according to the diagnostic tests. Afterwards I half wondered whether they were cutting back the budget on lab testing, because really I've only been diagnosed a year now and I thought initially the recommendation was to test every 6 months to make sure the meds/lifestyle changes were working OK. I'm such a cynic, I know!
@DEBBIESCOTT good luck with the laser treatment, hope it goes well.

36 hours with no food….so hungry. This morning Dexcom read 4.4
was low 5’s most of yesterday and overnight.
curious to see what will happen when I eat…but that’s a while yet, 6 or 7 hours.
this colonoscopy prep is brutal….never had to do one over two days.
sun is shining but it’s minus 7 and the coyotes are super active this morning

Its still nice to hear from you when you float back in. I have been a bit illusive as my readings have been pants - and that's putting it mildly! Cannot seem to get out of the funk that I am in at the moment. Like you I have way too many things going on in the background and I am just taking one day at a time and trying to keep up with things. So, float in and back out, whenever you like that's what I say X
