Call me Mr Apollo - I don’t eat breakfast. According to Vivian Stanshall, everyone knows that a healthy body makes a healthy mind - and now a fancy face.Morning beautiful people

That was really good @Krystyna230405.5 this morning.
We had a lovely dog walk. Met several fellow dog walkers which was really nice.
Yesterday afternoon one of our printers broke down. It was a very very ancient Dell printer. We ordered a Brother printer online from Argus and 10 minutes later picked it up from the shop which was a mile away from us.
I like this pen and ink work very much @dunelmGood morning everyone on yet another overcast yet good to be alive sort of start here in the dark and dangerous north. The public circus of yet another Dan and Dave Westminster performance of prestidigitation and legerdemain came and went - they should be on Britains Got Talent. Will my pension increase in real terms? Asking for a friend. What about the pound in my pocket? Today though is bin day - far more important. The bin was placed, as usual on the edge of the curtilage last night but there is always that last minute bit of detritus that somehow appears during the night and has to be herded into the bin first thing in the morning. Art bit - random splodges of paint - leave to dry and try and make something of it with a dip pen and ink. Hope your day keeps up with inflation. I simply must drink koffy.

Not the best adventure and that Scouse sounds a little bit workhouse. Does this cafe provide free food and drink? Lovely sketch thoughFbg 6.8

Okay.
My adventure yesterday was a little drive.
The cafe I go to only usually has only a few people.
But yesterday was absolutely packed, only standing room.
I grabbed a reserved table, and joined the queue.
But the queue was rude and I got jostled out of place twice, with people pushing in front of me.
I would have left the premises, but there were so many people I was trapped so to speak.
I got a bowl of scouse.
But all it was a meagre bowl of 2 small pieces of potato, and about 4 maybe 5 small chunks of meat and gravy. No onion. No carrots.
The lady forgot to give me a spoon, so I used my teaspoon...
I did ask aloud at one point, where did all these people come from?
Their 'leader' came up to me, and politely told me that that this was his photography group of students (they were in their 20's & 30's), and they had all been invited by the Estate (Lord Leverhulme's Estate I assumed) to take photographs and submit them to the estate. He was polite and we engaged in some conversation.
Some elderly couples who I see there each time I go, and they drive there in their cars, opened the door, took one look, and left quickly. The photography group did have their own room at the back where some of them took their food and drink.
I left, but not before I did half a dozen drawings of the photography group in the SketchClubApp. And I am thinking, another instance where people with money prey on the charity/goodwill of others (and they don't realise they are giving their services for free to someone who can afford to pay, they think they are showcasing their work & they would be lucky if they even got credited for their work).
I did a few more sketches of outside...
But first here is one of the students, in SketchClubApp.
I was trying out keeping the digital pen (I have a pink foam hair roller on the barrel to enable me grip it with my arthritis) on the screen the entire sketch without lifting it. I didn't time myself but it was less than 60 secs.
I was shattered when I got home. That many people, and being pushed aside in the queue, and me stuck in that crowd drained me, so I went to bed...
Cantankerous batty old lady signing out...
Have your best day...mine does not include people...

I am so pleased for you the day went so well.Good morning all. Many thanks for your kind and supportive words yesterday. They really did help. The service was perfect-very personalised. In fact the obituary part was my own words but read with such sensitivity/ affection and a little light heartedness as the minister remembered mum from when she attended the luncheon club and fellowship meetings at the church he used to work at. He concluded the service by quoting, at my request, the first 4 verses of Revelation 21. The venue and food were excellent including the hot foods being served by staff. People enjoyed looking through the albums of photographs as they brought back happy family memories. 4 of the 10 staff from mum's nursing home couldn't attend as there had been a crisis there but the ones that did attend took food back for them. They also took a copy of the obituary I had written and asked if they could make copies to distribute to everyone. I had also put together a special album of photos taken of mum in the nursing home for the staff to browse through. I had my emotions under control until I saw the picture of my lovely mum on the screen in the chapel! The service at the graveside was respectful and the sun was shining! So despite my anxiety beforehand all went well. Thank you again. Best wishes.
Well that was a good result and hopefully the Brother one does the job.5.5 this morning.

Thank you @gennepher - I am supposed to be getting on with the pier painting for Mrs Miggins but not in the mood just yet. I am though experimenting with random splodges of paint and seeing what I can make of them.I like this pen and ink work very much @dunelm
Pleased for you and your mum that it went as planned and well done that minister. Very good of you to put so much together for the nursing home folk.Good morning all. Well “obviously” - let’s just mash two things together. Wonder if he knows about annual screening and the nice letters that you get back. Don’t panic Captain Mainwaring - unless you get the letter with the blurred lines.Been remiss of late posting.
No real reason, still testing and all hovering around the bonds ..(007’s)
So no real issues.
Running through my meeting other day, I realised how casual the psychiatrist was assigning my eye issue to diabetes
I think he was actually writing that down in his notes before I corrected him.
I know I've always taken note of possible retinopathy, but to hear it so easily accepted as "obviously" as that was a shock.
Anyway, life moves on.
A day off here and furry nephew in attendance, so a slow walk later is the plan for the day.
No it wasn't the best trip. Not the best adventure and that Scouse sounds a little bit workhouse. Does this cafe provide free food and drink? Lovely sketch though
When I got my past medical notes (under the freedom of information act) and studied them I realised one specialist could write something on a medical issue which had not been tested or investigated. Then in later years that could be accepted as fact, when in fact it wasn't, and this could colour further treatment or assessment @jjraakBeen remiss of late posting.
