What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

6.8, a soggy, saturated, showery, so windy Sunday.
It is supposed to be double figures temperature wise, but it is wind chill 5 degrees.
I had to do some task in the garden this morning and my hands are just so cold, the arthritis and cold together have given me a low level of pain but the wind also got to my neck and it now feels as though I have a stiffffff
Neck.

Other than that having a quiet day.
'cept the footie on the box.

Mrs L is having a lie in.
I had one as well till 7am. A full six hours snoring, then toilet break and another hour.
Feel so much better, if I get a long uninterrupted sleep.

However, that hour sleep have me a a weirdly dream, in colour and I would love to know who writes the script for them. It's not funny, how they end!
Jolting awake and shaking etc.

Here is the gist of the dream.

I needed a new walking stick. (I don't have one!)
Rang the guy from the shop.
Limped there using my old one, with a scarf and trenchcoat, big boots.
Arrived, I wanted another blue one.
Had to have a red one, not happy.
So limping back the rain washed my feet away and I landed on my backside.
Into a swimming pool. Where Mrs L pushed me to wake me up. It could have been a punch tho.

Kitchen duties need attention.
See you later, alli..........

Arthritic hands are a real pain. Perhaps something like These might be of use - not bought from this particular website but heated cycling gloves are not bulky and are, in the main, waterproof. Probably fit gardening gloves over if you like.

Don't they burn your hands?
I have a couple of pairs of orthopaedic gloves supplied by my physio.
I just didn't put them on. Doh!

I have discovered pink bluebells amongst the light, dark, varying shades of blue bluebells.
I also have white daffs. Short and long.
Multi colour variations of man others, can't wait for spring to arrive, maybe in june.... July?
My spring/summer bulbs of lilys could be as late as august.
New project is going reasonably well as long as the wind doesn't blow everything away.
Still no chance of getting mower on the lawn.
So wet.
Still no footie on pitches either. Waterhogs all over it.

My best Sunday best bib and tucker wishes to you lot on here as always

Today I am just plain gobsmacked our friends great granddaughter turned 18 years of age but In my mind she was still a little girl I just could not believe it had been eighteen years since she was born time just slips by without you noticing.

Well, my eldest son is 32. Seems like it faster when going downhill. It went too fast!

5.8 this morning. Back to work today.
Mr K took Poppy for a walk this morning so I could relax longer. I will have to pace myself carefully as I have 9 hours teaching today. Hopefully someone will cancel.

Am really lucky that I am being chauffeured in. It is so relaxing not having to drive.

Good morning everyone on a damp but wonderfully quiet start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.2 this am. The wind from the previous two days has moved on, birds are now flying in the right direction and garden furniture rescued and placed back in their designated spots. My brother was discharged from hospital yesterday afternoon from the “ward of snoring” and reunited with his phone charger. Children back at school here today so grandparent duties have slowed. Art bit - wonder if it was the recent stormy weekend? Anyhow, it’s the first day of the long weekend for those of us who no longer toil for a shilling. Best have some koffy and get on with the day.

This one should be called Kathleen.

5.4 at 02:55 today. Still in the 5's after 2 cups of tea and my reduced (as of this morning) basal dose and smoked mackerel breakfast. No insulin before breakfast.

The builders are here and have turned off the water for a while so that they can take out the oil boiler and put in a different chaped foundation for the air source heat exchanger. At the moment I can reach my desk and the laptop, but it will need to be moved soon so that they can get in to the radiator behind it (my winter foot warmer). Been up since 02:45 but didn't start doing much until about 04:00. Started slowly by making my bed and putting last night's washing into the tumble dryer and putting another load on to wash. Then started emptying the dish washer (hate that job, but not so much as actually hand washing dishes and pots) - does my back no good at all. No time to rest - we didn't manage to get all the boxes moved out of the way last night. We were both exhausted and decided to call it a day. Unfortunately, Neil didn't wake up until 07:00 so I was just doing what I could to clear space around my desk so that it can be moved when necessary. Had a break for breakfast (ssitting in my big chair beause the table is covered in boxes and box files.

It's going to be a fun few days.

Morning everyone from Breckland cum Fenland with USAF which today is dressed as a fairly mediocre spring tribute act. I know not my fbg although I care and do my best to control that particular enemy within. Yesterday's family lunch was altogether as genial as one could desire: heaven in the ordinary. I am conscious such gatherings and meals may not be ordinary even for some here never mind in many circumstances. My apologies if I seem to take my blessings for granted, seem entitled or cause upset. @dunelm thank you for sharing your art. I had to google the song reference since I never really did Elvis. @Krystyna23040 a busy day but more examples of Mr K's love. @Annb hug for the disruption but those fbgs seem to be more stable recently. Still Easter holidays here so at least two days of grandparent duties/blessings, one with four children. I wish you all the very best for the day or the grace to emerge bruised not broken.

Thank you @ianpspurs. Having family gatherings is a great thing to be doing (not weddings mind as fights break out supposedly).
