Afraid, I can't speak bee language either. (I've established communication with some invertebrates, but that's another story.). At one time, we used to identify individual bees with a spot of nail polish, but I expect entomologists use paint pens to make a small dot on the thorax.
I've picked up bumble bees between thumb and index finger, but they are docile creatures. The tumbler and card trick is the safest way to remove any invertebrate from your home, if you'd rather not handle them.
Do you have a bird bath? Bees seem to find them attractive, so re-siting the bath might persuade them to reroute their flught path.
