Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

G'Day from Montreal. My wake up GB this a.m. is 5.1 mmol/L.

My Accu Chek Guide/MySugr app is going to calculate my A1c after my 21 entered data point. See what happens.

NEAT! my Accu Chek Guide/MySugr app just gave me an HbA1c of 5.3% My last lab blood work gave me an A1c of 6%.

Please be aware the Accu Chek figure is an estimate @oldnevada. The HbA1c test is a cell count, not 100% accurate, but very close.

Do you have the most recent HbA1c results to hand?

Thanks for asking!

-Are you saying that AccuChek 'Indexes' the Hematocrit of the sample to the [Conc'n] of glycated hemoglobin from a large sample population? Rather than the actual sugar measured assayed by the lab?-

Yes, the app clarifies that this is an estimate and may differ from the lab results.

My last blood work said 6%. My results from the lab were given to my pharmacist. This was five months ago. My M.D. sends me for blood work once a year.

Yes, the two numbers seldom match because they measure different parameters @oldnevada.
