What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thanks Lamont but am not so worried obot the procedure itself but organising my warfarin and injectables before and after.
Had an INR appointment this afternoon you guessed it with the same person who gave me the wrong sheet today she had made three attempts to get enough blood so I took the finger pricker from her and did it myself 4th time lucky the test strips cost £12 each.
Trouble was level was low which triggered a coagulation insident which meant she could not give the dosage Callander without consulting a doctor you would think it not difficult to find a doctor at the GPs surgery not so we were left in the tiny treatment room for about 40 minutes goodness knows what the temperature was what a day.

PS any spelling errors are not my fault but my phones.
Until he had his replacement heart valve 2 years ago now, my brother was on Warfarin from 1979 and he had similar issues whenever he needed surgery for one thing or another. He had to come off of the warfarin, which he was accustomed to dosing with and checking levels and taking some other medicine for several days, then afterwards, making the transition back again. He found it quite irksome, but manageable if a bit confusing at times. Since he had the old heart valve replaced he hasn't had to use Warfarin at all and is on some other medication.

If the tories have their way, doctors will become a thing of the past in the NHS!
What with PA's and nursing assistant, dsns. Never mind the pharmacy assitants.
What is a doctor needed for?

It is shocking what has happened to our healthcare!

Take care mate.

The Canberra was a cruise liner?
not much pleasure in the South Atlantic....
It was a cruise liner. It was commandeered for the operation and I booked a very smart cabin with four of us shoved into it. We cross decked to HMS Fearless to carry out the assault landings. Sailed back to Ascension Island on a North Sea Ferry called Norland - what fun! These ships still had their civilian crews on board throughout as did quite a few merchant ships.

I must stand up and support the rank and file of the NHS. 3.00 pm yesterday afternoon a nurse changing and tending to my dressings ordered an air cushion to relieve the pressure on my healing, what are now, wounds. It was here by breakfast time and is very comfortable. Some parts of the service are brilliant.

Finally I got the back off the device I went to collect today. New battery in and it worked. But when I paired it with the processor, it was an older model (even thought it looked the same as the newer models) with none of the newer functions.
But I am not disappointed. I tried...it just didn't work this time around. I'll try again...

That is ridiculous and irresponsible @JohnEGreen
I had the same in my doctor's surgery in 2019, when the nurse caused a severe problem for me and that was when I discovered it was a doctorless surgery (we still do not doctors in the surgery even today).

My two DiLs work in the NHS and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the staff, that cared and diagnosed my weirdness. I rely on the staff.
I was criticising the growth of substitutes for the trained doctors.
The plans for the future, if the tories win.
Not the care.
I hope you are feeling better.

More gloomy news. Why has Sunk still not suspended his four associates, two of whom we know are MP candidates, while they're investigated for alleged betting with insider information?

Monday's FBG, 4.2 mmol on waking at 6.00 am.
It started with an embarassing disclosure about Sunk's closest aide. That was a setback for Sunk, but in an election campaign littered with unforced blunders, it might have been kicked into the long grass by now.

Then last week, it emerged that one of the police officers in Sunk’s close protection team had been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The Gambling Commission said it was looking at further allegations of what it euphemistically called "betting irregularities".

The same day, a second Tory candidate was revealed to be under investigation. Within 24 hours, it transpired that her husband faced similar allegations and had stepped back from his job as director of campaigning for the Conservative Party.

It took Sunk almost two weeks to take action. On the same day the Party finally withdrew its support from the two parliamentary candidates, it emerges that a fifth Tory politician is under investigation.

Is there nobody in that administration with any principles?

Tuesday's FBG, 4.4 mmol on waking at 6.00 am.

Good morning everyone on another all things bright and beautiful start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 6.1 on the gom jabbar. Mrs Miggins is on her way to the airport with The Girl In The Bubble and her parents. They are off to sunny Spain, Y Viva España! Not for me right now, I have other, hopefully cooler plans. Art bit - something between a rock and a hard place. Going to make some koffy and sit in the garden.

Temperature in my back garden already 21C at 7:36 am
App tells me it's going to be 26C later...

Last night, Jade had not come for her supper. I had waited until dark, gone 10 pm, sat on the swing awhile, despite possible impending beasties, but no Jade. So left a plate of good cat biscuits out for her, and extra water. This morning I went out, and not one single cat biscuit had been taken. So that meant no foxes or badgers were out last night...or even stray cats...good job I have some back video footage from very busy nights...I vowed to myself to post one video for each day of the year, so I keep some busy nights footage for when there is not sign of any cat nor beast...

Nighttime wildlife videos
A Fox and a Cat yawns
I have to say, a boring 16 secs of footage...no wonder Midnight was yawning his head off...
414 views since I posted it last night !?!?
And some people watched it more than once. I looked on analytics...
I am assuming some people cannot sleep these hot summer nights...

Creative...my new series...studying some bushes and trees...
On paper, using a thin/small Japanese calligraphy pen...
In Snapseed for copyright and name and date.

Time for a rest now, started some ice cubes off...

A quick nap should see full basket of ice cubes...

Have your best day...

By the way I have been experimenting with Ceylon cinnamon for a while to see if that can lower my blood sugars. It does not. It makes not one jot of difference to me. I have bought a second , different packet of Ceylon cinnamon powder, in case the first was not authentic cinnamon power. In the meantime I was trying hibiscus tea for something else, and I found that reduced my blood sugar levels immediately while drinking it and after I finished drinking it. Still experimenting on that one.

Just bought JKP a Cromer crab for delivery Thursday while watching football without leaving my lounge. Tough old job but someone's gotta do it. @Krystyna23040 I used a website which has bought this. Do/did you know it at all?
Thank you @ianpspurs. It looks a brilliant smokehouse. I didn't know it was there.

From the very beginning of the dash for COVID cash bonanza, none.....none have had the least bit of understanding how sleazy, crooked & downright corrupt each and everyone of them was.

The shame of this parliament should forever stain the memory of "Conservatives".

In the absence of criminal charges and real jail terms to discourage others following the same path.

I'd settle for Johnson being the catalyst for the complete destruction of the party as it now stands.

One huge stain on our democracy, imho.

Just tested negative to Covid. So it's just a particularly irritating cold.
BG at 02.40 was 8.0.
I don't know why I am delaying getting on with that sewing. I need to get it done. Actually, I do know - the sewing machine that DIL brought up for me is one of her own and it looks very complicated. Not sure how to thread it even, never mind all the options it gives.

I have a couple of complicated sewing machines which were given me, they languish in the garage, too complicated.
I really want my old fashioned treadle back which I left behind....
I do have an old fashioned nearly two hundred years old Singer hand shuttle bobbin machine at the top of some shelves in the garage, but I cannot get it down...it was manufactured around 1851 and runs so smoothly...
Oneday I will get that down again...when I find someone to help...it was too heavy for Australian daughter to do...
