What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Great stones @lamont just like @dunelm 's series of stones....

The pink roses are beautiful as well, as are the border flowers in bloom...

Beautiful....
When I replaced the original slabs for new ones to give the kids somewhere to play in the winter, I had lots of broken stone slabs, so I used them as border stones, in and around the soil area and flowers.
I have some other roses which are new but only a couple have flowered, I will photo them in full bloom hopefully. I'm quite chuffed with it.
Thanks @gennepher.
Front lawn needs a haircut tomorrow, no rain forecast but we'll see.
It is quite overcast now but still warm enjoying the evening.

From the very beginning of the dash for COVID cash bonanza, none.....none have had the least bit of understanding how sleazy, crooked & downright corrupt each and everyone of them was.

The shame of this parliament should forever stain the memory of "Conservatives".

In the absence of criminal charges and real jail terms to discourage others following the same path.

I'd settle for Johnson being the catalyst for the complete destruction of the party as it now stands.

One huge stain on our democracy, imho.
You've appropriately used past tense @jjraak as should I.

Was there nobody in that administration with any principles?
What happened to the accountability we were promised when Sunk took office?

Good morning everyone on a warm but so far overcast start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 6.0 this a.m. and hopefully a bit cooler today for the bin lorry cavalcades. My pal from LA is leaving today, flight back to Frankfurt where they have an apartment to meet up with his family. I am off on a train journey - choo, choo! It will be like an episode of Janet and John as read by the late, great Terry Wogan. More leaflets about who to vote for arrived yesterday - managed to intercept before being posted through the letter box and got them in the recycling bin before the person distributing them could turn and leave, blooming litter louts. Art bit. I don’t know how much time I will have over the next few days so just some doodling to be getting on with. Hope your day is hip and cool, I best make some koffy and pack a bag.

6.5 this morning.

Today will be an easier day. My sister will be over shortly and we will spend the morning doing admin.

Will be able to relax with a coffee in the afternoon and get back to reading the 375 page textbook which covers my recent training. It is really fascinating information on how our bodies work.

Great Art @dunelm
Interesting to watch it developing
Enjoy your trip...

Morning all from what is either another gorgeous warm, sunny day or testing and tiring time for much of UK Plc. Some will like it, some won't. School sports day time - do teachers bet on that? :D Very strange times as we all know the substantive outcome of G.E 24 but are tediously going through the formalities. Meanwhile one heals slowly, watches sport whilst smiling and waving at "them out there" @Annb hug for the cold but good it isn't COVID. @dunelm thank you for sharing the art and behave yourself all unsupervised. @gennepher thank you for sharing the wonderful creative. I'm thinking of you in that hot bungalow. @Krystyna23040 don't drive those poor souls too hard today
:D
@Lamont D I hope the test drive of the new shower is a succe ess and pleasure. @lindisfel thoughts and prayers with you - did Marjorie watch the football last night? Now it is time for some Jarslberg and more tea here. I hope y'all find some marginal gains of your own today. Have a song and insert your own terroir.
England's performance abysmal,

Ian, they never seem to match the hoped for form.

6.2 at 04.20. Up a bit now - that's after breakfast of RyVita and salmon paste (H/m). I didn't take any insulin yesterday - forgot all my pills in fact - other than the early morning pain killers but I did take insulin before the RyVita. Obviously overdid it yesterday again - sitting most of the day, but still straining muscles. Very sore today but this morning I have taken my pills and a 2nd lot of painkillers. Legs to be bandaged today. I think I shall wear a mask even though what I have isn't Covid - don't want to spread cold viruses either.

Wildlife nighttime video
Not so much much wildlife, but Midnight wondering were everyone had gone...
Midnight sat in this very spot ALL of the night looking into the trail camera. He kept himself awake. He faced the camera all night. He refused to let himself sleep. Then when daylight arrived, he charged indoors and leapt on my bed (I had just woken, been to the bathroom, made a cuppa tea, and got back in bed), and I never got to drink my tea, because I put my sleep mask on, and went back to sleep with Midnight for another couple of hours...I think at the end of the video, you can see Midnight looking in the direction of my bedroom, because he has heard me getting up...

Creative...studying some bushes and trees...
On paper using thin Japanese calligraphy pen...
In Snapseed for copyright and name and date.

Far too hot for me...hard to breathe in this heat, despite my fans and humidifier and personal mister going...
And that stupid arctic blanket I spoke of yesterday is going in the bin. I wouldn't even give it to a charity shop in case someone like me who needed fans working in their room, ended up in a cryo chamber. Amazon won't let me leave a review because it was a gift...

I need my inhaler...

Have your best day

I fell asleep writing this...

Just putting the wheelie and recycle bags etc out earlier finished me off...that is my lot for the day...I don't envy those bin men in this weather. Some stupid people were complaining online that yesterday their wheelies and recycle were not collected until 9pm. Good grief....

Good morning all from a bright and breezy L.A. where it is mild and far less humid than last evening. Despite the humidity, fitbit scored my sleep highly and my body seems to concur. "Slight" issue with plumbing here because our life is far too dull just now but B Gas/Dyno will be here soon. Meanwhile, the pointless G.E campaign drags on and no one remotely believes D:Ream is an appropriate soundtrack. Ennui abounds is more apposite. Even the Snitty Guy is attacking Truss now - Blue on Blue isn't as funny as one hoped. Elsewhere, the football really has been boring perhaps because the format has made the third round matches all about what we have we hold. @dunelm have a wonderful, stress free journey on Thomas and thanks for sharing the art. @gennepher thank you for sharing another amazing creative but hugs for the effects of this weather on your breathing. @lindisfel wonderful to hear from you and good on Marjorie for gathering the supplies. @Lamont D thanks for the lovely photos which are a credit to your skill and patience during testing times. Good man. @Annb I hope leg bandaging goes smoothly. My day will definitely contain a surprise for JKP and very likely a disappointment from England's cricket team. Enjoy your Thursday as much as possible.

Lots of Covid in North Cumbria it's rife in the Cumberland infirmary.

Thank you very much @ianpspurs

6.1, up and down no consistency.
Thanks for all for the comments, too many to tag and thank individually.
The first of my tall lilys has flowered, I might take a photo.
A bit busy, the painted front gates need a professional coat of paint, I'm not a pro!!!!
The grass is growing for some reason???
Kitchen duties, require my attention.
Mrs L needs a cuppa.
I am still tired (ish).

The gas works are steadily and noisily continuing, more holes appearing every day.
The temporary lights have walked down opposite now!
I just feel like putting a sign up saying,, there are other routes you know!
The big lorries and juggernauts are still the hold ups, and bad drivers, inconsiderate idiots (as usual)
One guy on a motorbike couldn't or wouldn't wait, and was very lucky to not get flattened by a bus.
The red light was ignored. One rule for the majority, another for some and (insert expletive) idiotic moron!!!!

Enjoy the sun, the wind is strong again from the South East, still warm, no rain. Must get on!
Best wishes you lot.
