How exasperating! Have you kept a food diary recently? @florvic. Might be helpful to keep a record for a few weeks to see whether a pattern emerges.8 for me today![]()

Totally agree with the foodie explanation, I think my caterpillar and fruit bat diet has been the biggest help for me. Slightly concerned that once we go into the autumn/winter seasons and my diet cravings turn back towards pies, chips, curries etc and the salads go out of the window then so will my readings. Will need something to boost my will power and resolve as don't get my LTC until next March when it will reflect all the bad stuff.Snapsies, @Keesha, 6.5 for me too, and this after yesterday’s depressing 8.0, I’m rather pleased with that. Carb and Fruit patrol must be the reason
Looks like fresh air is carb loaded
Curries big on spices and non-carby sauces, with cauliflower rice, maybe sliced leeks for extra oniony oomph. Stews of any meat you like plus lots of non-carby veg. Pies without the crusts - make your own filling, add mushrooms, garlic if you like it, onion flavour again from thinly-sliced leeks and/or the green bits of sliced spring onions.Slightly concerned that once we go into the autumn/winter seasons and my diet cravings turn back towards pies, chips, curries etc and the salads go out of the window then so will my readings. Thanks for the ideas, I will take a look at suggested recipes. Never tried cauliflower rice mainly as not a great fan of cauliflower but always willing to give new stuff a go. Perhaps the veggie items will take over from the salads to add a bit of a filler obviously avoiding the potatoes which I do miss sadly. Any of that boost your willpower some? Have a look at our recipes section for more ideas.
sound interestingHello mates,
At a couple of the other forums I've frequented there was a thread like this one where we all sorta checked in each day, with our first cup of coffee or tea, and reported our fasting or waking blood glucose level and some short comment about whether we're ok with it or if not - why not?...
It worked well as a sort of 'first thread to check' each morning and post to.
I'll start.
This morning was a 5.6mmol for me. That's about normal for me
What about you?
Good evening @a live and welcome to this FBG thread for diabetics of all types. We're pleased you could join us.sound interesting

very true.Hello @RosemaryJackson.
Have you taken into account your fast the previous day? I believe you told us you didn't eat until 6 o'clock in the evening. That could have something to do with it.
