I'm doing shi*e lol not funny really but if you can't laugh at yourself .... Been visiting family , testing but not recording on here because difficult to get on here on my phone ....anyway numbers been high from 10's to 12 's mainly , all due to my carb fest. Had a wake up call when I got home yesterday my eye screening ( first in 4 years ...although I do have the extra testing at the opticians which have all had really positive results ) has come back showing some retinopathy ! Talk about shocked so no more messing about very annoyed with myself and my stupidity . Bet you wish that you had never asked lol Very small plus my hba1c is down from 89 to 77 .
After the battle you have had over the last few weeks to control your numbers, you deserve a winner for managing to reduce your A1c results. Just goes to show FBG measurements are definitely not the whole picture.

Bloods 5.1 this morning. Thankful but not jumping up with glee like the Lib Dem guy I saw on the telly this morning. The low number is likely the result of the glass of Shiraz last night! Unless I am very much mistaken I will get my comeuppance in a day or so..

Hello mates,
At a couple of the other forums I've frequented there was a thread like this one where we all sorta checked in each day, with our first cup of coffee or tea, and reported our fasting or waking blood glucose level and some short comment about whether we're ok with it or if not - why not?...

It worked well as a sort of 'first thread to check' each morning and post to.

I'll start.

This morning was a 5.6mmol for me. That's about normal for me

What about you?
Mine was 7.8. Not bad considering I'm on double dose steroids and have an infection so I'll take that
