What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

7.5 yesterday and 8.5 this morning though this morning I had been awake for 2 hours before I tested . Now 5.5 after a long walk .

I was 8.8 today, down from 30.1 two weeks ago.
I'm pleased with the progress so far but still a way to go. Have been having horrendous Metformin side effects but (touch wood) so far today has been okay.

Do you guys use mg/dL or mmol/L?
I've seen people use both (I mean what do you use more frequently or is it based on the machine you use?)
Mine shows mmol/L so that's the measurements I record :)

So 8.1 yesterday, 8.0 today. I put the blame squarely on Oasis, what a shambolic performance and no tickets, but on principle I am now glad.
@DEBBIESCOTT good luck with the hospital hope you get some answers. @flonvic same happened to me last week in friends garden, both ankles blew up for several days then left a nice bruise. Mosies I believe.
Off for another eye injection today. Hope your day is better.

Right well finally got round to using the freestyle Libre ( 2 week freebie ) yesterday . Made for interesting reading I'm like a kid with a new toy lol . BG didn't rise above 10.2 and after my evening meal it rose really slowly also during most of the night it was around the 4 .9 and some in the 3's Sorry I know I have wandered of the thread ( kid with new toy ! ) Anyway fasting BG was 7.1 ( on Libre ) then 7.6 after going downstairs etc on finger prick test .

7.7 today.Blood test today. That should be interesting.Perhaps they will let me have linagliptin back if my numbers have gone up again.I do hope so because its getting me down now.
Why did they stop it especially if it works ...or is it cost/ supplies ?

They stopped it because i got my Hba1c down to 46 and they didn't want me going hypo.I had been on it for a few years and never had one.Now i'm off it my numbers are up and so is my weight.I did want to gain weight but not as much as i have.My last result was 48 so it will be interesting to see this one.

In 2010, most of the world including the UK changed to using mmol/mol and mmol/litre for diabetes measurements @wanipuk. The USA has continued to use the old percentages and mg/dl system.
