Sunny but cold morning after yet another overnight downpour followed a wet day. Time to be brave and get outside. So much to do in the garden, but top of the list is picking up the many fallen apples, hopefully in time to take them to the tip. It always seems a huge waste to me and I have tried many different ways to use some. Apple chutney is popular and Apple jelly is ok. But they are cider apples, not any use for cooking, sour and flavourless at the same time. Maybe dried Apple rings? Could be a lot of work for nothing.
