Creative...some 6x4 photographic paper. Painted lines on the shiny side with my Art Kure pens. Sprayed with a fine spray of water. Left it overnight to dry.
Used a black edding pen this morning to do a few trees and stuff on it, but that was not the wisest thing to do because it might have clogged the pen up a bit with the glossy on the photographic paper. I couldn't find my black Biro, which is what I should've used.....
Have a great the rest of today...

Moving home considerations.
Have three kilos of frozen mince. One pack was a short date, home frozen, so should be used soon. Others bought frozen, should be ok. Out of aubergines so mousakka not possible. Dont want to do cottage pie or chilli. Could make a huge lasagne. Freeze again? Dinner with friends?
also fruit, bag of cherries and a kilo of gooseberries, several kg of blackcurrants and raspberries, few strawberries, but I use these with yoghurt for breakfast or dessert. Of course there are also many bags of vegetables, including About 12kg kilos prepared for Kiki. Am not sure this will be enough to last until they are in season again.
Have been investigating catteries. There is only one anywhere near and I don't like the facilities, ok for a few days, but weeks on end, shut in what is little more than a cage? About five metres square.
My lack of computer skills let me down again, found a site offering temporary home to animals. Thought this might be a better solution for Kiki, but could not register because unable to enter dates. At least, I entered them, in every different format known to man, but each time clicked on register, dates vanished and annoying yellow banner popped up insisting Dates are mandatory.
Could not find an address to email either. Arrrgh!
Am considering cattery because the ferry company won't accept pet transport until 31,12. We were planning on return 27,12 overnight. Only a couple of days earlier, but needing to vacate house by 14,01 useful extra time. Normally not a problem to stay a little longer.
Then there is the request from Mum to collect her for the wedding. This means house to ferry, ferry to Portsmouth, drive to mum's, just south of B'ham, then drive again down to Milton Keynes. Because of timescale not possible to stay overnight at mum's. We both think this is an unreasonable and hugely stressful amount of travelling in one day for Kiki, who would, after all that, end up somewhere strange.
But search for an alternative has so far not had any success. Thinking to go to vets and ask there for suggestions.
Last year we paid for someone to come
twice a day to feed and let Kiki in and out, but that was a week. We are talking about over a month, in winter, am not sure it's reasonable to ask that of anyone.
I love that Art bit @dunelmGood morning everyone from the start of the firework season here in the dark and dangerous north. The first of two organized firework displays in town took place last night, the next tonight. Not my cup of tea and I expect that there will be more smaller ones. As children, we used to buy penny bangers and jumping jacks, setting them off Willy nilly so I can’t really complain about “the youth of today”. Nowadays we are mindful of how upsetting it is to animals and also to some humans also. Maybe it will just peter out like witch burnings and ducking stools (apart from in parts of Norfolk). Adverts for Black Friday have begun to appear already. I am assuming that it is still on for 29th November when thousands of people vie for a bargain - I don’t know, we always seem to miss it - or perhaps we are not missing anything of importance - which is nice. Should we be investing in fancy advent calendars? Also, why are selection boxes no longer in boxes? Art bit - this started out as an exercise in darkening a wash in stages but I added too much ink. Oh well. I have it that it’s Saturday today but it feels like a Tuesday. Hope your day has a good feel to it. I ought to make koffy.
I really hope that you find a good place for Kiki to stay @SlimLizzy02.11

Did I mention the need for a chimney sweep? Has to be registered and able to issue certificate. Not MrSlim this year. So far sent three emails and received one refusal, am out of his area. Cannot use woodburner until chimney has been swept and it's getting cold.
The wind stripped the leaves from all the willows outside my window before they had a chance to go brown. The cherry, though still has all of its leaves and still green.Stunning autumn colours @dogslife. Thank you for sharing your photos.
Here the deciduous trees are only just beginning to change colour. Until a day or two ago, leaves were falling to the ground while still green.

Hug for #mousegate and the foiled cunning plan for TV licensing. Excellent idea to take a sabbatical - don't suppose you know of Gary Neville. Thank you for both the video and creative.Fbg 6.7

I have no time to do a painting today. So I did a kaleidoscope of one of my castles...
I am busy tidying up at the moment, some different tidying up. Cat Midnight told me there was a mouse in my porch. I had spent a full day tidying it up for winter about three weeks ago. And so I moved everything again. The front porch is not used as a front door anymore because of reasons I have explained previously, and so I now use it with plastic storage boxes, although a few things still in cardboard boxes. I had bought some plastic boxes on Wednesday and they were waiting for me to utilize them.
But the mouse/s got in first and nested in all my cardboard boxes and wrecked a load of stuff.
Blinking mice...
And then I had the idea of circumnavigating the TV licensing.
I know, I thought, I'll apply for the free TV licensing for the over 75's. I fit in the entitlement guidelines for that. But on principle I would not watch any BBC programs, but I thought that might sort out this silly letters from them.
I got stuck at the first hurdle, you have to put your old TV licence number in it said. Well that was about 17/20 years ago and I do not have that now. So I tick the box which says I have forgotten my TV license number.
This takes me round in circles with pages and boxes, and it comes back to "You have to put your old TV licence number in".
It was an infinite loop with no escape...
I won't give in I said to myself. Tries a slightly different tactic to getting in. Fill in your name here it says.
Okay I fill in exactly the same name as I did in the other day when they granted me another extension of no TV licence needed until July 25.
That would be no problem there, will there?
Wrong...
TV licensing tells me that is no such person with that name living at my address... And consequently they cannot give me a free tv licence...
I am waiting for another threat from their Enforcement Officers saying I should not be living here...
They can take a long walk on a non-existent Pier...
Have a great day...
Any post letters will go in my basket until next Tuesday...
Any emails will not be looked at until next Tuesday...
I am on a sabbatical from all communication methods until Tuesday....
And I will be writing a new notice for my kitchen window, the last one has faded from the sun so I need a new one....
The other bane of my life is drones. There are two in particular that regularly fly over my garden and hover. I know who they belong to because they have come to my door to ask if they may retrieve their drone... And I have warned them, the same will happen if their drones repeatedly fly and hover over my garden... I always hand them back.
I have explained they do not need to fly over my garden they can go down the road flying their drones and either end is access to woodland so there is no need to fly over my garden...
The birds do not like the drones and they sound a warning signal (which I hear if I'm wearing my cochlear sound processor)
The magpie is furious when the drones fly over and he makes one heck of a deafening racket...
Like I said, have a fantastic day...

Good news on the pain level and having the PEMF although the reason for having one isn't good. I may swap the word lucky for result of sensible care or even by the grace of God but either way the score takes care of itself. Do take your time returning to being this thread's Duracell Bunny - I know, I know, a guy can dream (imagines Mr K rolling his eyes as he reads that on his way past and your girls spitting out their beverage of choice when told)5.8 this morning.
Ankle is much much better, not as swollen and the bruising isn't as bad. Actually, on a scale of 1 to 10 the pain is probably 2 today - although still taking paracetamol.
So the icing, elevating, compressing and supporting it has really worked. I also dug out a portable PEMF machine that I use from time to time on my RTA injuries which must have helped also.
So I think I have been lucky that it is healing so quickly.
