What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone from a cold, dull and quite late start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. The Girl In The Bubble stayed over last night and is already cheering up the day with a song and a dance. A bit colder yesterday but we had a smashing walk into town and down along the lower prom. Quite a lot of Japanese students about - I think from the Teikyo University of Japan in Durham programme. Managed nearly 6 miles and not too achy even after a climb up the cliff steps. Some days it can be quite slow and painful but yesterday was pretty good. You have to keep the muscles moving to pump the lymphatics and help with a dwindling immune system I feel. Art bit - didn’t finish my painting but did collect some fallen ginkgo leaves to add to last years dried ones. Hope your day is a good one. Best finish my Kory.

Can almost hear & feel the peace and quiet of that one, John.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.4, a number divisible by lots of other numbers.

Hopefully attached will be Mrs J’s latest artwork. It is a canvas with thousands of tiny beads stuck on the canvas. Make of it what you will.

Enjoy today all, we as a species will not pass this way again, which will make time travel improbable according to the current scientific knowledge.

Good morning all from a relatively mild start to Sunday here in L.A . For me autumn/winter has already lost any allure it may once have had, at least until Advent. I don't know my fbg, amongst so much else I don't know that I have never tested nor ever would and wouldn't share anyhow. Somehow that realisation is liberating - what would I actually do with all that (data? fake/questionable information?) anyhow? @jjraak congratulations on that wonderful fbg. @JohnEGreen hug and winner - hinner? - for the Proustian vibe tempered with (Stoic?) humour. @jjraak whose parts though? clearly not mine and despite being a stellar Olympian, Sir Chris Hoy's? @dunelm thank you for sharing those leaves and details of your active day yesterday. Enjoy the time with TGIB.This week's Stoic insights should have meant I was aware that not being able to do all I want such as walking 6 miles regularly was a no issue for me but it absolutely isn't and will remain an issue all my life. I regret to say I will always be a failed Stoic. Once I've had the idea of a new heaven and earth I'm not going to settle for this version. Who in their right mind would want to eat LC or face the very real prospect of someone like Trump as Potus for eternity? - skeeved out doesn't remotely cover it. The keto mince pie traybake and hot beverage yesterday were spiffing, not so the rugby result. Enjoy your Sunday, mine will be a delicate balance twixt Spurs possibly winning and roast chicken - will another piece of traybake or tenderstem broccoli tip the balance?

100% agree with that @dunelm. Well done on managing nearly 6 miles.

Lymphatic system is really facinating. Because I am only doing 3K steps at the moment I have really been focussing on gentle ribcage breathing to keep the lymphatic channels moving in the deep Facia in the trunk. I have been amazed how quickly the bruising and swelling in my foot and ankle are improving.

A beautiful arrangement @dunelm

Tell MrsJ that the peacock is stunning @alf_Josiah

Fbg 6.5

Sigh....

That darn mouse, or mouses has/have chewed many holes in my precious umbrella, so that is my creative...
J bought it for me 35 years ago. He used to hold it for me...
I told the ginger kitchen cat he was not earning his keep...

He's scared of mice. I found him quivering one evening at the top of the freezer while the little mouse was investigating my floor...

Yet he will guard that cat flap, sleeps right besides it, and not let any creature in through it, especially Midnight...Midnight has to sneak in through my bedroom window...

Weather app says sun today...my eyes say it is raining out there...

Creative...an umbrella with holes in it...not much use any more...

Have a good day....

Just popped in for a quick 6.4.this a.m..
I'm not in a good place, I am frustrated in many ways, not going into detail, but it was a good thing, I was up so early.
Bad day at black rock (PP) yesterday, it was as I feared, it was great to see my old colleagues back.
And the grandkids enjoyed the experience, not the match tho.

Hope you enjoy the weekend, I probably wont!
Ah well!
My best wishes to you lot as always.

Smashing work by Mrs J - and I suspect a great deal of concentrated effort.

Could be those two which have made Sunday a good day so far but at the back of my mind there is a feeling something else really helped. The latest Iowa opinion poll perhaps? - no. I'm sure it'll comeback to me. Hope y'all are settling in comfortably on this long dark evening. I can see the point of rain and sensible temperature, say 30°C, but long dark nights and autumn/winter - why? Don't even mention the ludicrous amount of clothing needed even now - just how many layers did people wear back in the day and how ridiculously heavy was all that?
