What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

25.11
No FBG for several days.
Too much happening and too stressed.
Can't even say am looking forward to getting home as MrSlim is adamant he has to stay in Uk until after Christmas.
Really need to somehow look cheerful for the happy couple who are NOT having a wedding, they are just getting married.
Someone explain the difference please.

Christmas greetings to you and yours.
Only a couple of days to go and I have been ordered to get the bakers.
Meat is out of the freezer, and put back again.
I was awakened, by request, to help Mrs L in preparation.
It's okay, I have sorted it.
Along with the decorating, the mess in the garden, babysitting #8 and the usual stuff etc.
I'm knackered. But the needs of chrimbo is on the horizon.

6.8 this day of whatever.
You
Plans are for the grotto of lights, trees and ornaments to be started at the weekend for no more than three or four days. That is a plan.

Must go kitchen duties to be done, Haddock for meal.

Happy days, seasons greetings you lot.

Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is clear.

You have to be having a laugh!

Best wishes.

I must, I must, I must!
I am appalled at the storm Bert that has devastated many areas.
However, around here, it is like we didn't have a storm seemingly.
The strongest wind was Thursday night. Before Bert arrived.
We have had no rain since Friday morning.
No snow.
No wind, no rain, nor winter's cold.
That would make a great first line of a lyric......

Strange, I know!

Good morning everyone from a wonderfully quiet start to the day here in the middle of a forest in The Chilterns where I have been for a few days recharging my batteries and trying to convince my brain that tantric throat warbling and so called superfoods are not real things. No chance of catching up but thank you for those that shared a concern. I have a journey home today and as far as I can make out, chosen trains are running and on time so ought to be home in time for dinner and with a bit of luck my meds, ordered last week will be ready for collection. Not much done in the way of art but here is something I did several days ago. Hope everyone is as well as they can be. Must make some koffy and also some more to go into a flask.

It looks peaceful to me....
Have a great trip back home @dunelm

Fbg 6.9

Nighttime wildlife video
Badger watched by Cat Midnight. Still no badgers or foxes after the last cold spell, And this is from some older footage, of which I have a lot of that I have not had time to look through yet...
I am wondering now if something has happened to the fox and badgers... they have literally been coming for years and years, just about every day to my back garden, and for them to stop now just seems a little strange.

Same vid in TikTok

Creative .... Inks and spray water on postcard

Have a lovely day.

Peace be with you.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and it appears the mysterious @dunelm, ex fellow motorcyclist, artist extraordinaire and dweller up’t in the dark and dangerous norf has been taking a sabbatical, what is a sabbatical?

Blood sugars this morning were 5.7 what they are now is of no interest, compound or simple.

Just recently me, me’s and myself have been questioning my use to the universe and Mrs J, but mainly Mrs J.
It was pointed out, loudly and bluntly that my function was to drive Mrs J to distraction and provide an example of how not to do things for my grandchildren. I can sleep easily, it seems.
Stay safe, stay warm and for those travelling have a safe journey.

So pleased that you are ok @dunelm and that your batteries are fully charged.

Morning, Lazarus.

A beautiful sunny day in the Capital.

Off to work on the big train in a while, but it's nice enough to ride the little Ebike to the train station rather than take a couple of tubes to catch the big train further down the line.

So that's a nice positive start to my day.

Hope everyone's comes close.

(Obv Mrs j will be in my prayers, she gets some respite).

Ciao.

Morning all from a sunny L.A. where my fbg remains a known unknown. Today's post is the too many cracks spoil the broth edit in honour of our new gadget - makes soup and a host of other things. @dunelm good to hear from you after what was almost certainly a more Boutique Hotel or at worst Glamping Stoic retreat than in your halcyon days of Bear Grylls type adventures. It is obviously Nosce te ipsum time for the faithful, Stoic, agnostic and atheist alike. Hannukah is later and we've had Diwali. Thank you for sharing the majestic red roof special. @gennepher thanks for sharing the video and creative. @alf_Josiah it does seem as if Mrs A J is a lady of extraordinary sagacity. @Krystyna23040 congratulations on the whole ankle healing process. One imagines Mr K quietly thinking at B last the penny has dropped, my work has not been in vain :D . @jjraak sounds like a capital day for you in so many ways. The cracks? Fitbit says my readiness score is excellent and the weather is spiffing, my body ain't. Batteries charged can't be fully used even though we have acquired a biblical amount of leaves outside our front door and windows. The leaf shredding garden vac is in the RR which is in a 4x4 specialist in Cambs. I virtually filled the brown bin yesterday, no discernible dent in the piles of leaves. Large dent in my spoons collection. Meanwhile, granddaughter has been discharged, possibly not all due to her 3 year old brother giving her his Teddy but I like to think that was pivotal. JKP didn't need to be Mamma Bear but her poorly tummy has resurfaced almost certainly due to stress and missed meals #crackgate. You have all done very well so confine this post to the waste bin of life and shop for Britain - Black Friday week/month/decade demands no less.

Keiran got the result from his masters degree and it is a pass over the moon for him.
Massive congratulations to Keiran and to you and Judith for your part in that, not forgetting Melody of course. Have a song I think that fits well for so many reasons based on a conversation we had.
