What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I hope the achy joints settle down really quickly. Thank goodness that you didn't break anything.

My hairdresser friend fell over in our market town just before Christmas and broke her arm and shoulder in 4 places.

So you were lucky, and so was I when I had the dizzy spell and fell over and twisted my ankle after Covid.
Thank you very much @Krystyna23040
I knew how lucky I was immediately....
I think it has triggered off my Arthritis in my joints a bit.
And I am needing extra sleep, so I'm just allowing myself to do it. I have been out fresh food shopping this morning and I was fine for that. And to pick up a couple of parcels, but that tired me out so I'm having a bit of a rest now.

Your poor hairdresser friend. A lot of people try to save themselves and end up causing themselves extra damage. I had two friends during Covid and lockdowns, and both fell on concrete. Both tried
to save themselves with their hands and in doing so both damaged their wrists and nerve endings so that their hands were now permanently swelled and they had thick sausage fingers and they could not use their hands anymore and had to accept outside help for showering and other things. These incidents hastened both of them towards a quicker demise than what would've happened and they're not here anymore. Both were elderly but both were very active people, one was in her 80s and she still rode a Vespa type scooter to get about, but the fall and the damage to her hands put paid to that.

Afternoon from a damp and gloomy L.A. on Holy Innocents Day. In common with most, if not all here I, all my children and grandchildren have eaten well and are warm and safe by the grace of God. Without being preachy it is worth just recognising that since time immemorial there have been and still are Herod's. Moving on, no testing here but I am entering all food into my app. No, I didn't weigh my Christmas dinner but I erred on the generous side in entering amounts. I haven't eaten that much, hungry if anything. @gennepher hugs for the aches and pains from that fall but well done on the muscle memory of that roll. @Krystyna23040 good that you all, Poppy included, took it easy this morning. Hug for your poor hairdresser following her fall. @dunelm very kind of you to help out with that food problem. I hope the stroll into town was enjoyable and the meds were there. Thank you for sharing the art. This red series has been most enjoyable. JKP has predictably overdone things and her back is forcing down time. Our surgery were excellent in replying to her e-consult yesterday which from posts here can't be taken for granted. If at all possible enjoy the remains of the day: other films and books are available.

A very 6.3 on this day between everything!
It was bin day today, yeah, a Saturday!!!

I must tell you about Mrs L 's dream last night following on from a few nights ago.
Mrs L s sat upright, and announced that she had to go home, and was not staying in this place.
I want to go home.
It took at least five minutes to convince Mrs L to get into bed, this was around 3am
This happened another three times, until eventually I took her downstairs for a cuppa, some of the details were really strange and unbelievably not accurate. But as Mrs L insisted that it was frightening.
#2 arrived from Yorkie land. On a family visit. And was called by my middle son's name, more than once by Mrs L. And was also asked to get Mrs L 's new address.........
Followed by #7 & #8 with dad. And we had lots of fun. #8 has a new bike and is already scaring anyone on the pavement. #7 had her dolls and stuff to help Nanny realise, her maternal instincts were there.

House has got empty now. And Mrs L has took time for a nap, I wish I could, I'm a bit weary.
But stuff to do.

Weather is dull and dreary, no fog for first time in days. Everything is wet.

I have found out that he Christmas card sent by #2, has seeds embedded in the card itself.
so to get them to grow, chop up and submerge in water, then bury in lots of compost.
we will see.

Best wishes.

Good dark afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen, all is very quiet here in Tilehurst Towers and I am very worried. Mrs J is sitting at the dining room table opposite me, me’s and myself. Mrs J is not uttering a word, or several thousand as is her want.

I did take my blood sugars this morning, and again I have forgotten what they were, such is life.

On a personal note, hold on it’s personal so a rapid change of subject coming up, All the weight I gained due to my radiotherapy and associated medication I have now lost, yes I looked under the bed and in the spare bedroom. But racing snake I ain’t……think more obese, beared, long haired motorcyclist.

A question for you kind folk?
Does it say in the marriage vows that you should listen to your wife?

Badger Thor pootling around looking for worms & grubs ...

Thor seems to come around to my garden for around 4 am.
Willow was there as well but Willow seems to go in another part of the garden where there is no camera and does a lot of digging... Willow removes some of my rubber mats before Willow digs. A blooming pain..

That Willow is a naughty gel pulling up the mats before excavating. Thank you for sharing the video and wonderful kaleidoscope which I hope means your spoon collection was a .little larger today. Rest up and allow those aches and pains to heal properly.

I think it mentions obey.
And take it as any interpretation that suits your aims.
if you can't do it right, do it to your beloved's satisfaction.

Yes @gennepher - extra sleep will help your body to heal so really good that you are allowing your body to do it.

You are right that lot of people try to save themselves and end up causing themselves extra damage - like what very sadly happened to your friends.

Hope JKP recovers quickly. It is so easy to overdo things. Good that she got such an excellent response from your surgery.

She is a pain @ianpspurs
I don't think my spoon (not food, spellcheck is being very naughty.) collection was a little larger today, but I had to pace myself more than usual to try and get all this done. It is frustrating......
But I should not grumble at all, at least I am still here with no (serious) injuries from my fall, apart from some aching pains....

Good morning everyone on a wonderfully quiet start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.9 this am, early morning cramp dance, aching back, complaining hips and a smile on my face as I get another day. Smashing afternoon yesterday at our daughter’s open house. We met two new family members, not long into the world and had a lovely catch up with siblings, siblings offsprings and siblings offsprings offsprings. Girl In The Bubble stayed last night. She and Mrs Miggins are off to see a production of Cinderella today. Mrs Miggins is a patron of dress up time for minor soap actors moonlighting from the telly. Oh no she isn’t! Oh yes she is!
No idea yet what else will transpire but grateful for the opportunity to enjoy whatever unfolds and thankful that any leftovers are now tucked up safely in the freezer for another day. Art bit - palms. May your day contain lots of enjoyment, mine is already ticking along nicely. I need to pop down to the butchers and get eggs but first I simply must go and make some Monsoon Malabar - a wonderful gift from a good friend.

Plenty of exercise with the morning cramp dance then!!!!
I like the palm tree landscape @dunelm

Brilliant - plenty of time there to do loads of things - or just put your feet up.
