What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Over the Christmas period I realised I had on my NHS app an appointment with Neurologist at QMC booked for the 27th of December this clash with some other appointments elsewhere so I called QMC to cancel it only to be told they had cancelled it about three months ago and a letter had been sent I pointed out that no such letter had been received and the appointment was still on my NHS app did get an apology and told a new letter would be sent detailing a revised appointment so far no sign of said letter but I am not bothered as a trip to QMC from here is a nightmare and I hate going there.

The ice on the car was solid and it took Neil ages to clear it. I thought we might be late for the appointment, but we got there before the nurse was available anyway.

BG was 7.9 at 03.45 today but came down into the 5's, which is where it has remained ever since. At least, it was but I just had a digestive biscuit with a cup of tea, so it may have risen now.

If my potassium remains low, I might have to go back to eating avocados and bananas to push it up a bit. Not sure if that will help if it's my kidneys that are causing the problem though. We'll see, no doubt.

Try eating white beans the are much better than bananas which are full of carbs.

Minor miracle happened twice yesterday had to drive to the doctors as my mobility scooter is being repaired and was able to park in the car park then in the afternoon had to go to the doctors again and again almost immediately was able to park the car again to be able to do that once let alone twice in one day is nothing short of miraculous.
Doctor refused me pain killers as he wants to sort things out one at a time and decided that my having been unable to eat properly for some while because of the constant feeling of nausea making it impossible to eat a full meal so have been living off protein shakes for weeks so have been given anti sickness tablets and to solve the dry mouth and altered taste has given me saliva spray.
The nurse who changed my wound dress became a little concerned about what she perceived as a degeneration in my general condition insisted on making me a doctors appointment for the afternoon henc to trips to the surgery yesterday.
 
Morning all. It is cold and frosty but Elon has saved humanity so everything else including fbg is trivial. Relax and buy yourself a small country like Greenland or a canal, Panama looks a bargain. @JohnEGreen hug for your health problems but winner for having the car back and finding that parking space. I hope what the doctor prescribed yesterday helps. Once again it seems that as we both believe the power to actually save humanity was once a baby in a manger (immensity cloistered) and He works through everything that is best in mankind not the opposite.Toddle Pip.

So, coming up from sea level through the woods is like climbing the west face of the Eiger compared to coming up our usual and more gentle ascend. Also, they are going to the library, the location here that deals with applications to join the bus pass club - I know, they are mere spring chickens and no, I did not imitate Jerry Lee Lewis :eek: :nailbiting:. Art bit - trees, again. Hope your day is as pleasant as you can make it. How is it going up in the wilds @lindisfel? Must make koffy and consolidate a list of chores to ignore.

Posts keep appearing, disappearing and moving around so this might not reflect reality which is very much the zeitgeist. @dunelm thank you for sharing your art and the article. Huge respect for your walking and the fact you have relearned to walk twice. @gennepher thank you for sharing the kaleidoscope and video: I was told the video was currently unavailable on tiktoc. @jjraak hugs for the difficulty arranging the necessary help to achieve your very sensible goals but winner for what your determination has achieved. Enjoy Goa. @Lamont D what a kind and moving post in reply to @jjraak. Interesting points about pain. Currently my issue is numbness, due to stenosis, which renders me unable to stand still and makes moving so much fun rather than anything I would describe as pain so I couldn't score that. I have all sorts of sticks, poles and pills but they are mainly useless so I just smile and wave. Nordic walking poles are the closest to useful. MIL reckons gout is up there with Champions league pains and she has had 2 children, 2 hip replacements and a knee replacement.

A tea soaked 6.7 this a.m..
In midst of fasting. Now into..............trying to work out with a pencil....... Yep, 42 hours and fifty minutes. I'm going to test before I eat later. But my energy levels are really good. Feel quite good and stomach out by has abated.

tea demanded, gotta go.

My blood sugars this morning were six point something, I can’t remember nor do I care, just as long as this, the third rock from our local fusion reactor continues rotating.

My plans for this afternoon start after my afternoon nap and Mrs J, my keeper and cage cleaner informs me as to said plans.

Just on the off chance anyone wonders why our news seems to be driven by an Elongated agenda the attached is a viable take. We, UK plc, so tax payers, have also given Tesla £200 million in grants since 2016. Every little helps. Apparently @ianpspurs I have violated TikTok rules and regulations with that video. So they have removed it. I do not have a clue of how I have violated rules and regulations on TikTok video a wildlife video of a badger and later pigeon. It is wildlife for goodness sake yet pictures of suggestive parts are allowed of humans....

I am allowed 24 points of violations. You can get more than one point per violation and this is in a 90 day period and then you can get a permanent ban.

Obviously, I have put in an appeal telling them they are wrong....

Give me 20 minutes and I'll try and post it on YouTube....

Very kind of you to say so, but I think that's true of many of us on here, dealing with the less charming versions of life as we know it , yourself included John .

Maybe the 2nd might be more like it though.

I'm just glad to be closing the circle, and going back to somewhere I loved before the accident.

Something that seemed an impossible dream at some points .


God moves in mysterious ways or god inspires us ....who knows

either way , I'm very grateful.
