What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone on another misty morning start here in the dark and dangerous north. A severe wind warning has been issued for a Micheal Fish covering all bases type event due to start at 6am tomorrow. Personally I would love such notifications for my own severe wind warnings. Some strange goings on between our GP surgery and the pharmacy - good, but strange. I put my repeat prescription request in with the recommended healthy lag time of 10 days but lo and behold - flash to bang of only three days? Is Elon now in charge of the threshing? Bins are out, so that’s my list of chores down to just one - bringing it back in again after the show. I did get the slow cooker out a few minutes ago in a flash of inspiration for what I hope will be a hearty winter meal this evening - still too early to buy a lettuce I feel although they do take longer than 49 days to go off in this cold weather. Art bit - a smidge of a third colour. Hope your day goes forwards. I shall drink koffy and shine a light on the here and now.

Calm, dry, seasonally average temperature here. No - weather - for Old Men but UK teens and nearly teens are roaming about in shirt sleeves, shorts, generally minimal attire. The progeny of our colonial cousins seem to respect the weather more. @Krystyna23040 good news on recognising the signs of Bonnie requiring a nap. @gennepher life is what happens while we are making plans. @Lamont D time with grandchildren is God's way of making life taste more pleasant than the bitterness of pure reason. Those times are now we see darkly made vivid reality. @dunelm good news on prescriptions time travelling. Eclectic post today with the Fishmeister and Trusster (obliquely) referenced, only let down by the category error of hearty winter food and LC somehow being confused, must be being so busy. Thank you for sharing another wonderful example of your art. I really liked this one even though I genuinely don't think I've ever seen something like that and probably never will. JKP is battling with a hotel booking system, Apple Pay and a bank that can't agree the ££s taken from her/our account secure us two rooms in Winchester. A far too clever Apple security system to avoid sharing card numbers by generating random transaction codes instead seems to be the issue. The cost of attending a fourth birthday - hotel, dog kennels plus travel would literally have bought a house back in the day. Just the reality of MIL's age and my little problem - the now but not yet of this advent age - means we smile and wave - **** happens. Enjoy Thursday.

It would be so good for us if they did work - but probably the likelihood of them working is zero :) :) :)
Actually I am doing very well today, despite sleeping all night, I have been sleeping all day as well today. It is 14;43 now. All I have done is feed beasties this morning, cook breakfast, cooked lunch but did not want to eat it, so fed it to the beasties it was gammon and eggs. I feel like I should be on a water fast for a day or so. The nurse said the op would be within 8 weeks, and that is no time at all, time could fly, and I want to be my best for that. That is why I am making sure I am resting....

That would be the carbs the last few days....
No more carbs in the form of crusty sourdough bread (for a bit!)
Resting/sleeping/a bit of light technological work setting up Pixel 8.
Time to feed the beasties, then batten down the hatches...
Bought some nice food yesterday...
I found, that Pixel 8 had saved photographs when I had asked it not to during the set up. And, not only that, it had altered photo settings from do not back up photos, to back up all photos.
This caused a big problem.
An email from Google saying you won't be able to use gmail to send or receive because your storage is nearly full. But if you pay some money every month will let you have 100 GB of storage. I do not need more storage for things I'd probably would never find again that is why I don't save certain things...
So in between sleeping and waking, I have been deleting a load of stuff from Google Drive. I'm not giving them money so they can take a long walk on a short pier before they get that.

I now save any key photographs to a cloud app, that I've got.

I found that the pixel 8 settings have been altered for YouTube and YouTube music. I do not want these smart videos or smart downloads of YouTube music that I can watch it off-line or hear it off-line... it's useless to me. If I save anything, it's because I can hear it all I want to learn to listen to it not a whole pile of 100 random things, that I have no idea what they are. And they are filling my storage of my new pixel 8. So I have no storage space for any of my stuff...

So the frustrating thing is, I'm having now to delete all that stuff and reset the settings NOT to save. A load of unnecessary time that this has now wasted for me.. and it has reset my settings for my earlier pixel phones. So I have a lot of stuff to go through.

This pixel 8 phone is only 128 GB storage. I really wanted 256 for the way I use the phone... but I could not find a bargain 256 GB storage phone for the price I needed to pay... and so the last thing I needed was Google filling my phone and storage with rubbish. ...

Anyway, creative is some paintings I found in the so-called Google backup of photos. It was during Covid lockdowns I did these. And I think I used a YouTube painting video on how to paint with acrylics. There are a few of them so I will be using them for the next few days at least. ..

This particular painting was done in the early Covid lockdowns, and would have been on my pixel 3a, from the date, but the weird thing is it is not because I hardly have any photos on my pixel 3a and I have never backed them up to Google. It was not a phone I used for photographs.

Nor are these photos on my pixel 4a, which I used to transfer stuff to the pixel 8.

There is no lens information on many of them to say which of my devices took them. There are hundreds of these. I have deleted huge swathes of these photos without even looking at them, because it would simply me forever to look at each one. It broke my heart a bit, because Popeye was on a lot of them. I started looking through them but there was so many and I have saved a selection of Popeye's photographs from my iPad. It was as if I had never seen these photos before. And many of them were in the potting shed. So I simply picked a random couple of photos out of each batch of the photos of Popeye. And did a huge swathe deletion of 100 or more photographs in that batch...and so on. It would have been so easy to pay that money. Google wanted me to pay each month to keep all these, but I will never look at them again. There's too many.

So I am wondering now if Google saves all your deleted photos? Because something does not make sense here. I take so many photos that I do delete them as I go along because I cannot save them all. And I don't have time to go through all my photographs I have taken.

Mystery to me.

So, here is a blue tree for my creative!

I hope you had a good day.

Take care.

Hug and sympathy for tech Bros giving a "helping" hand. Thank you for sharing the creative which has all sorts in it for me including a fairy and Gandalf/Ganesha. I know, I know that is why you shouldn't do drugs kids.

Thank you @ianpspurs for the art comment the location of which is in the canyons of my mind. All the best to Mrs JKP with her accountancy exam.

Back up to 7.
Oh well!
Some good news, Mrs L 's hba1c has dropped to below 50, which is brilliant.
And a home visit in early February.

A really busy day, on and off the forum. Babysitting duties for most of the day, will catch up again later.
Best wishes.

Wow, a superb blue tree piece of art. Google storage - I think you have to log in on line every so often and delete things. If you have not used them before, I use a combination of terabox, Dropbox and even Canva - all have free storage and terabox has 1 TB on the free account.

I wasn't looking for pictures within the picture until you pointed out a fairy and Gandalf. Now I can see an owl on the ground, and a black cat in the tree..... @ianpspurs
