What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

7.3 for some unknown reason.

Ok I know I'm an old codger but letter number two arrived offering services for those over 70.
Primarily free but obviously gonna cost something later.
If something looks too good to be true. Etc.

Absolutely beautiful again around 11am, sun shining, 12 degrees, on my new garden thermometer.
Now 7 degrees and cloudy on my new garden thermometer.
Did I tell you I've got a new garden thermometer?
So I did some work in the garden. Front and back, seems like my cat preventative idea has worked, two nights no cat. Hopefully the repair to repair the repair is gonna be a good repair.

Mrs L has been watching some old films, while I've been pottering around. She wants to help but is particularly wombling around and I turned around to go face to face with a cleaver, Mrs L wanted to use (on me?) On some veg we are having for evening meal. It was my health and safety head, that quickly removed and exhaled deeply until put away from harm. I mean the cleaver, no, hang on, both Mrs L and the cleaver.
Some nice pork chops for food later.

Have a lovely weekend guys!
My Euro head on now!
The nice people on the continent use this as a description that is not misogynist.
They believe that it is applied to both male and female.
I have to say, that, is more civilised than having to tongue twist through the treacherous traumatic testament of those who are just human and not labels.
This cannot apply to those who are in charge of hate.

My best wishes.

Hugs for the pain.

And prayers the end result is a smooth run up to the mini break away .

Best wishes if I forget nearer the time, for the upcoming golden wedding anniversary .

Best wishes
Thank you so much @jjraak. So kind of you especially as you are on a well deserved holiday. Enjoy! :)

Since it took so long yesterday, uploading the trail cam video I've decided to just do them every other day now, I want to continue with them but not if the Internet is playing up with me to this extent. And the Internet connection is playing up now anyway so...just a quick post.

I'm sitting in the warm side of the window.

Here's a picture of some of my daffodils (out of reach of the new badgers...I hope) for my creative and made into a Kaleidoscope with Laboscope...

But something is digging up my wild garlic and eating the bulbs...my new badgers ?

Have a good rest of the day

Beautiful!

Good morning everyone on a drizzly start here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.6 this a.m. and raincoats may be the order of the day.
Girl In The Bubble yesterday - doctors - a ‘measles like rash’ - don’t go to school - absolutely fine for grandparents though!!!
So - first a paint by numbers kit that she has been hankering to use - just five little pots of paint. pots number 3 and 4 were all dried up so we mixed some near matching colours which she enjoyed doing. Next, get the poster paints out - splodge. After lunch - an unknown number of jigsaw puzzles of varying difficulty before mum turned up. What a smashing day despite being awarded with a power cut for an hour which resulted in the fire being lit and reading by candle light.
Today - the strangest use of two perfectly reasonable words but joined into some bizarre phrase:
”garden centre”
Mrs Miggins received a voucher for Christmas and has declared that today is the absolute best and most auspicious time to try and use it. Pointless to argue agains such augury and there may be a cafe.
Art bit - a smidge of colour.
Will your day be a good one? It does have a short shelf life so I hope you can enjoy all of it. It will be enough.
Time for some koffy.

Totally understand the situation with the cleaver. One of my close loved ones (in a similar mindset, wanting to help, but unfortunately no longer capable) was discovered to have adventured up a ladder, onto the roof, after being out of eyesight for no more than 2 minutes. Which caused similar alarm and health and safety concerns. Negotiations were thankfully successful. Similar deep exhalations occurred afterwards.

Unfortunately, but not surprisingly my Blood sugar is higher when I am caring for this person. But I wouldn't have it any other way.

I like this art bit very much @dunelm ....
A lot of painting yesterday with the Girl in The bubble...

5.3 this morning.
Got some results from blood test done the other day mostly ok but CRP was about 3 x higher than normal eFGr was 49% and A1c was 49 %
One test not done before was the Prostate specific Antigen test result normal so that’s something I don’t need to worry about.
The A1c puts me in the diabetic range but not by much.

Sunny today...

Internet behaved itself this morning.
Managed to download some weird Badger behaviour.
It was Willow. Willow kept standing on their hind legs. And managed to upset cat Merlin. Very similar behaviour as to what Pa Badger did when he was around....only he upset Cat Midnight...
