What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

So sorry @Annb

But in the hope others enjoy the living vicariously through others exploits as much as I have done over the years

( I had issues amending the pics.
Have edited one in o/p)

Hopefully two others will appear here .

Slight correction, lauren informs me it's tuna fillet with wasabi + honey soy glaze....non nom nom was her opinion.

Burp!

Fbg this morning was 6.3.
Went for an ultrasound yesterday rather uncomfortable procedure rather like being given a massage by an elephant the young lady doing it had the rather charming name of Miracle.
It would seem she found a lesion on my pancreas this was not told to me directly but was overheard by Melody who had accompanied me to the hospital so not sure how that is going to pan out I refuse to panic.

6.6 this particularly horrible day.
DSN called just afternoon to be confronted by a disturbed Mrs L.
Mrs L diabetes is in good stead and her bloods are fine.
No worse, if not better than the last visit.
The request to have a stronger statin was discussed and agreed not to be used at this time. More meddling with drugs was not welcome. Rightly so.

I was star gazing last night. It was a beautiful clear night. And towards the South West from here there was Orion and a single star South of Orion. There was another light close to it but suddenly moved towards the West quite quickly, then faded and disappeared, it was unusual, I have no idea what it was, but it was not a star.

Today has a beautiful day and babysitting duties this afternoon with #8 playing on the footie pitches. It was around 20degrees on my new thermometer, so sunny, light cloud, but I spent as much time in my garden as I could.

I hope you are all enjoying this great weather.

Chicken cooking.

I need to ask an important question of the lady who emailed me yesterday offered me a different location for the cataract postop check.
So I sent another email using the same email she had first contacted me with. There was no immediate automatic confirmation of receipt of email this time. This puzzled me slightly. There was a lot of printed blurb on the email that she had sent me initially saying do not contact this department unless it is this. This email will not be read blah blah blah and so on.
And then it dawned on me, my interpretation of this is that the email she had sent me was set for one reply only to the email, no continuation emails from that email...
So I am not so hopeful as I was yesterday morning now.

I am giving the opticians two weeks to contact me. Because I need to give them time for the paperwork to be sent from the eye hospital to the opticians. And I am looking for an email address to contact them back in two weeks. But there is no email address only a contact box within the site. Okay, still same plan. Made a note in my diary to contact them on the contact box in two weeks and I am going to forget about this whole business until I get a reminder from my diary. I refuse to let this ongoing saga of this thing take one more moment of my time.

No time to prepare a wildlife video yesterday because this was taking my time. I'm trying to do Monday, Wednesday and Friday with the wildlife beasties. So I have to forget about that for today. It will be Monday for the next one. I can't play catch-up anymore because of external things getting in the way. Something will just have to wait until the next allocated day for it.

How did the life get so awful and complicated?

Anyway, a cheerful flower picture for today.

Creative is cherry blossom as a kaleidoscope in Laboscope.... no I do not have cherry blossoms on my cheese at the moment they haven't floured yet. The software engineer who sorts out the spelling and phrasing on this has gone bananas again. I will let your brains work that one out.

I'm getting tired of making these corrections. I am sure somebody is doing this deliberately.

So how come I have cherry blossoms? Well a few weeks ago I bought some artificial flowers to go in the garden to cheer it up for certain times of the year. It is a garden that is in shade a lot and so I get very few cheerful flowers.. to buy any real flowers means a snail fest. The garden is amazing with the wildflowers that come up each year, but that is a while before that comes out.

I arranged the cherry blossom on the lower branches of a horse on tree, (h a w t h o r n), and it looked pretty realistic. From a distance that is at the end of the passageway it looked like a rose tree, but walk nearer to it and you can definitely see cherry blossoms. Walk right up next to it which no one is going to do, you can tell it is artificial silk blossoms. But when I look it from another part of the garden, I see roast blossoms and that makes me happy....'roast' ? The illusion is definitely spoilt now.... I see barbecue underneath it roasting the blossoms brown...

I am off before the rest of the illusions of my garden are spoilt by this stupid software engineer who is deliberately putting in wrong words....

ChatGPT did the other day give me a pile of suggestions to sort this. It is not just a matter of sorting the settings in your device. It is choosing which site, app, or notebook app which does not do this. I did find one which gave me perfect typing. But this morning I thought I'd just do a quick reply actually in this box.... so much for the quick reply....

Enjoy your day....

5.8 this morning.

Dog trainer is arriving at 10am so will probably do a bit of admin before then. Yesterday's admin went really well. I absolutely flew through it. The heap of paperwork on my desk is much smaller now.

Both my brain and Microsoft were working perfectly for once.

Cherry blossom kaleidoscope - very effective.

Good late morning on another sun shiny day here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.7 this a.m.
There is a certain satisfaction when opening a fresh pack of koffy. A wonderful aroma, lost eventually when decanted into a sealed can over even just a week.
We walked down into town earlier, sat on a bench overlooking the sea drinking koffy. A breeze wafting in from the sea and bringing with it a light fret, obscuring the far end of our 7 mile beach.
Art bit - red sail on the horizon.
Hope your day is ticking along in the right direction. Wherever you go, there you are.

It is Mrs L 's and mine 44th wedding anniversary today.
And our great niece has gone into maternity, at our local hospital.
We await the new born with expectation.

Would you believe the hospital sent out an appointment to Mrs L at the wonderful time of 8 am in a couple of weeks? I have telephoned them to cancel, however, they have moved it to later in the day. Phew!

A quieter day, but still Mrs L is really confused. And being repetitive. I have tried various different ways to answer, either appeasement or be deflecting of the question.
Mrs L should have been in a certain unnamed state police force.

For the last week I have been watering the garden, even today's forecast has predicted rain but nowt as yet.
It was once again sunny this morning but really cloudy now and warm. We will have standpipes in the streets again, hosepipe bans and oooh what a scorcher on the front of a certain paper that no Scouser would be found reading.
Gotta go.

My best wishes and have a wonderful weekend.
