What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

It is Mrs L 's and mine 44th wedding anniversary today.
And our great niece has gone into maternity, at our local hospital.
We await the new born with expectation.

Would you believe the hospital sent out an appointment to Mrs L at the wonderful time of 8 am in a couple of weeks? I have telephoned them to cancel, however, they have moved it to later in the day. Phew!

A quieter day, but still Mrs L is really confused. And being repetitive. I have tried various different ways to answer, either appeasement or be deflecting of the question.
Mrs L should have been in a certain unnamed state police force.

For the last week I have been watering the garden, even today's forecast has predicted rain but nowt as yet.
It was once again sunny this morning but really cloudy now and warm. We will have standpipes in the streets again, hosepipe bans and oooh what a scorcher on the front of a certain paper that no Scouser would be found reading.
Gotta go.

My best wishes and have a wonderful weekend.
Double congratulations to you both

11.8 at 04.20 today but at least it's dropped into the 7's now.

Cloud level is on the ground this morning and I can only see a few yards across the croft. Maybe it will lift later on.

Still very sore after being on my feet too long on Thursday so I'll be on the painkillers quite a lot today. It's about time to take the second lot now.

Good morning everyone. After basking in the sun for the past few days, someone has fiddled with the on/off tap of intermittent falling damp. Probably Frances de la Tour.
Forgot to stab my finger when I got up as I was earworming the tune to Bay Of Biscay O with the voice of Norma Waterson in my head. Lyrics. A minute or two ago it was 6.3 so there we are.
Fixed a garden ornament for Mrs Miggins - note; when using industrial strength contact adhesive it might be useful to first don a pair of marigolds.
Early dinner out yesterday at brother in law’s gaff. We walked there through the woods and under the brick railway viaduct which has stood there since 1872. Since 1957 is has only carried freight to and from the potash mine down the coast towards Whitby.
Art bit - up the creek but with a paddle.
Hope your day is all inclusive, my koffy certainly is.

Congratulations for your anniversary and the new addition to your family. :)

I wish you all a happy Saturday Morening, unfortunately I have misplaced my usual greeting, therefore this greeting will have to suffice.

Blood sugars this morning were 4.6 , low enough to wreck my plans for this morning, disaster darlings, disaster.

Now I shall just have to rest up until I feel able to continue with my tasks. Hehehe. Or Mrs J catches me skiving…….

Fbg 4.0.
Keiran is staying as his gf’s for the next few days looking after her flat and her 2 cats while she has gone home to Latvia to visit family so it’s quite quiet here as his PS5 has gone with him.
Had a call from the hospital yesterday to book a Catscan for Tuesday to try and determine the nature of this problem with my pancreas.
Possibility of thunderstorms here today so Alexa says not sure I believe it.

Cloud level is still at 0 feet and everything is dripping wet out there. No wind just a lot of water hanging around. Have not long turned the lights off and may have to put them back on to see to make food.

Alistair was sent to A&E after doing some damage to his back somehow today. The doctor there thought it was just muscular though and may be as a result of him moving differently to protect his neck and shoulder after injuring it. Lifting heavy parcels around was probably not the best idea in the circumstances. He ended up only being able to stand by holding on to one of the parcel cages in the sorting office. He's off sick now and been given some strong pain medication. He's hoping it will have improved sufficiently for him to go to work on Monday but if so, he'll have to avoid handling those parcels. Also, pain killers and driving don't really go together.

I like this one very much @dunelm
It made me smile with that bit of colour in the sky....

A very hectic day today. Finished the last class at 6pm. Did two 1:1s in my lunch break. Must reprimand the diary Secretary. Oh no that's me isn't it :) :) :)
Relaxed in front of the TV this evening. Or more accurately - collapsed in front of the TV.

Watched a really interesting interview. Amol Ragen interviewing Alan Sugar. It was very good. Alan Sugar was so normal and down to earth.

Fbg 6,7

I was overtired today. No sleep last night.

I got a phone call yesterday, I did not know the number so I checked it up. It is from a debt collection agency and apparently was genuine, said online research, 4,000 people said so....

That was me panicking something soft because I don't owe anyone any money... checked on my many money agencies.Experian etc no problems anywhere,

Well, later in the day came a text from exactly the same number, and said it was for my Hyundai car, and said that it needed a service, and I had to book my service through this firm, so I go onto Hyundai garage to which I got my car from. And there was nothing in the website or on search to say anything about them arranging car services anymore...

I tried to book the service through the text, but it would only allow a paying option for booking the service of my car. And I had to put my credit card details in before it would proceed further.. .

Well, I'm obviously not going to do that because my car is leased and the service is included under the Mobility lease....

Also, I went on the Council site to apply for something one of the services they give, now that we are having a three weekly bin collection. Talk about problems getting in. I do have an account with the council. First of all, my account told me that all residents had to re-verify themselves, and this was something they were doing every few years, but there was nothing I had to do now because I would have to wait until they contacted me..

First of all, it would not accept my address, and told me I was of no fixed abode....oh blimey. I kept trying for about half an hour and eventually it agreed I lived at my address. Then it went to another box and said why do you need the service? Do you want to apply for it under these initials or do you want to apply under those initials. I had no idea what the initials were shortened abbreviations for...There was no explanation. In the end, I went Eenie Meenie Minnie Mo. And I gave my reason in the box for wanting this service. Immediately in the blink of an eye "Success, the service is granted your pink bags and your orange box will arrive when it is ready!!!!!"

I hate all this technology.....

I think my body just gave up....

Creative is a kaleidoscope from my garden, but I've walked. I have no idea.

Night night, it will soon be the the bewitching hour...
