What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

7.3 today, can only put rise down to a rotten cold and sore throat yesterday and overnight. Grateful thanks to grandchildren we saw a few days ago who love to share and spread the germs and diseases they pick up from nursery school and playgroup. It cannot be proved in a court of law that is the source of infection of course but my money is on them. Was much the same many years ago with our own children who introduced us to a huge variety of symptoms that they picked up at school. What goes around, comes around, bless them.

6.6 this morning after a week on dealing with contact dermatitis again, on my neck. Tried a different shampoo should have known better being a hairdresser! Been using Cetraben which has been working and seem to be on the mend. Was in the 9 and 10s most of the week :nailbiting:

Morning all 5.33 mmol/L at 7 am. Sunny Friday have a nice day everyone.
No potatoes for me, over 15 years.
Wow! I'm impressed. Its been over 6 years since I have had potato as part of a meal, although I was making fish pie with mash tonight for OH and did try a little taste of the potato on the edge of a spoon to see what i was missing. Gosh it was tasteless! I spat it out. Surprising how our tastes change.

Sitting in the airport lounge in Vancouver waiting for our connecting flight home…our trip to Japan was amazing. Food was awful. Low carb, wheat free is not a thing, they just don’t understand. Everything is breaded and/or covered in sauce. I had so much trouble finding safe food. I don’t eat seafood….so the only possible saving grace didn't work for me. I did have some fabulous Kobe beef..OMG….but I couldn’t afford it every day. I’m so happy to be home as my blood sugar was not well controlled, as much as I tried. Every single thing spiked me…
I think I was 6.5 this morning….and it’s been there for the whole trip (in the morning) sometimes higher.
Now I’m back to buying and cooking my own food..just so much safer.
I have been reading your posts…everyone is doing so well!

5.4 libre: made a bad choice for lunch yesterday raised for several hours i really should know better than to eat some pasta by now. limited menu's are a pain when eating outside. Off out a walk then off for a swim :)

@ChrisT2 hope you feel better soon. children do love to share their bugs. used to work in a call centre their pretty bad at it too, with the air con ensuring that germs get spread wide and far especially over autumn/winter.

@OrsonKartt gj with your nighttime readings of late :)

@Lainie71 hopefully clears up soon.

@Bcgirl glad you enjoyed your holiday guessing u asked if could do some of the meals without dripping in sauce? what was your favourite thing you did whilst in japan?

I’m not out of bed yet.

Six on libre.

Have a good day if you possibly can. Here it’s grey and my plan is to get some clothes on and and cycle to pub for a coffee

When I got to the pub I couldn’t resist an egg and bacon start to this cool , grey breazy English October Sunday
