What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Now here's a pretty kettle of fish... We have had a container parked outside our house for over a year while we had work done on the house but we have finished with it and asked the owners to arrange to take it away. They came without warning this morning and are currently trying to get it onto their lorry. Unfortunately, in the interim, BT have put up new telephone poles and wires and now the crane can't lift the container over them or under them. The driver is out there trying to work it out. I must admit that the thought did cross my mind when BT were working, but I forgot about it. We might have to leave the driver to it because I have my appointment in exactly one hour from now, in Stornoway, so we have to leave in 25 minutes.

Afternoon all. I'm going with 4.1 as an fbg since this sensor has been reading very low for the last 36? hours. @Annb I hope leg day went well and the driver finds/found a way to remove the container. @Krystyna23040 enjoy time with your family: Lard? goose fat or the fat from the joint are the way forward. It seems that "special" meat fat on the face is a new beauty trend.- Bonnie will show you great affection :playful: Y'all have your best day. Peace be with you.

I do so admire a skilled worker. In the past I have watched with admiration as lorry drivers insert their vehicles into tight spaces that I would consider impossible to get into, but today I have to say, this lorry driver demonstrated great skill in getting that container under the BT lines and onto his lorry. Once he'd figured out how to do it, he took just a few minutes to perform the operation, lifting the container but keeping it very low and swinging it onto the road, then lifting it onto the back of the lorry. Well done that man!

Now that the container has gone I can see what Neil meant when he said the fence needs to be repaired - a storm blew several feet of it away, opening a whole corner of the garden to the road.

I think I will pass on that one @ianpspurs :) :) :)

6.0 this morning. Have had a brilliant day. My sister came over this morning to help with the admin and we got through loads.

Then I spent the afternoon working on my 1:1 clients lesson plans. Only got one more to alter which I can do tomorrow before the family arrive. I thought I would still be doing this stuff next week.

Had a lovely walk and a relaxing evening reading while Mr K watched snooker

Good morning everyone on what some folk describe as “Good Friday”.
5.4 this a.m.

Last day of term for the Girl In The Bubble yesterday and she won first prize in the Y1/2 Easter Bonnet extravaganza - team work between her and Mrs Miggins.
A lazy day today apart from some shopping in preparation for the arrival of Grandchildren on Sunday. 10% discount today only using our Blue Light Card - bargain! Lunch out first and there has been whispers of a fish and chip supper. Will there be the all new battered and deep fried chocolate Easter bunny thing?

Whatever you are doing today, I hope you get to smile and perhaps laugh.
It would have been my eldest sisters birthday today - I shall think about our walks on the Amalfi Coast, the cruise up to see the norther lights and the crazy bee keeping course - what a bucket list!

“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive-to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.” Marcus Aurelius, Meditations.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.6, this reading was taken at the first squark of the alarm.
Hopefully attached is the third of 4 bird paintings by Mrs J, these are 20cm x 30 cm or in old money 8in x 12in

Have a good day, shame no postman to bark at! So I’d better behave myself.

Morning all from a cold but calm L.A. where my Fbg was 4.5 at 6.38. @dunelm hug for the memories tinged with sadness and well done to TGIB for winning the Easter Bonnet competition. Enjoy the shopping, fish and chips and time with Grandchildren. @alf_Josiah do pass on my congratulations to Mrs A J, not just for her patience but particularly for her painting. @Annb it does sound as though it is a good job the container went yesterday. @Krystyna23040 does the tallow not appeal or are you, as I imagine, blessed with perfect skin? Enjoy your time with family. Is Mr K now fully recovered? Unfortunately Gail's bakery don't deliver here so unless I can persuade #3 son to go into Ely or have a Deliveroo I'll go without gentrified hot cross buns or even just have a Not Cross bun bread and butter pudding instead. Peace be with you all this Good Friday.

Hi all.

Back from safari.....lol.

Fbg post lay in..7.00

Loved Gambia...but got laid low by tummy bug last few days which did spoil things slightly.

Sat with crodiles.. interesting if frightening.

Monkey park was a delight..
Sat on shoulders, clambering over us to get to food...

We ate with the local beach boys first night, to help celebrate the end of Eid.

A truly magical moment, so glad they let us share their joy.

A friendlier peoples you'd struggle to find

But it's back to the 'normal'

Ho hum...
Happy Friday all

Sorry about the tummy bug but glad to see you had a good time and enjoyed your break away.

Tummy bug aside it sounds like a magical - if slightly scary at times - experience.

Mrs J's picture is really lovely @alf_Josiah

Mr K is fully recovered from op @ianpspurs although he still doesn't have the same energy as he had before. I think he lost so much muscle over those months that he couldn't do anything that it is just taking time to build up strength.

The tallow definitely does not appeal. I think that I will stick with,Neals Yard and Weleda

Four those 12 and half million travelling today may deity of travelling look kindly on you. Apart from doing a click and collect we are going nowhere, unlike those astronauts who are going to the dark side of the moon, I wonder if they will be playing the cd by Pink Floyd.

Now that’s enough rambling by me, so have good day, remember to smile, I shall look for the positive in today and keep out from under Mrs J’s feet.

I have to admit, I thought the "tallow" was an April Fool's joke, but I happened across it on Amazon yesterday and it is real enough. Nothing wrong with animal fats in the diet, but I think we can probably do better these days for skin treatments. Not that I have ever been able to use skin treatments or any cosmetics for that matter since reacting to them in my teens. Soap and water is about the limit, and sometimes just water, when it comes to my face.

Anyway BG at 03.00 today, after a cup of warm milk at midnight, was 6.3, dropping before long to 4.7 but a cup of tea brought it up to 5.3. I suppose I should do something about breakfast now.

Spent the last hour trying to figure out why my Browser wouldn't let me into a part of my bank account. Turns out the bank hasn't updated its security certificate so the Browser won't have anything to do with it. Very remiss of them.

Morning all on Holy Saturday. The Harrowing of Hell is not often mentioned in the Easter story here in the UK. Meanwhile, anyone here seen spring or did Carol Kirkwood take it with her as a memento? My Fbg was 4.6. According to the latest Libre POTUS style briefing I am achieving all my objectives. @Krystyna23040 I'm glad you had a wonderful day with family. @alf_Josiah there is no dark side of the moon really, matter of fact its all dark :playful: @Annb hug for the bank and browser issues. The not cross bun bread and butter pudding went well. #1 son woke me with a phone call asking if I still wanted some gentrified baked goods :woot: Grocery delivery incoming. Have a great day and peace be with you.
