"A new you in 42"

Glad to hear he's ok. A car can be replaced but a son can't. Scrubbing the drive with a toothbrush sounds far less stressful so go for it x

Thankyou, there's so much grease and oil from 4cars and 4 motorbikes, and the drive is steep and curved, so I could be a while!
Love your title 'cold ethyl' , I'm old enough to sing that particular song in my head the second I read it! :)

Lol. It was my nickname at school. I wasn't quite old enough when he first was around but saw him when I was 14- my first away gig to Glasgow with schoolmates.
Just think of the effect on your BS cleaning all that, though I find seething resentment sends mine up!

Well, I admit to having a cassette of his album 'Welcome to ny nightmare", and I used to play it on the way to teachers college!
That's done it, fess up time, 59 this month, and feel 29, except when bs too high!
I used to get the oh so original Gilligans island at school...aren't kids creative...not!

Great to have you join in eastcoastphil!:)
What is to stop you starting now, and just finishing a bit later than the rest of us?
Though I suspect and hope we are not going to stop at 42!

Pipp!
That's amazing!
I was going to put off going for a run this morning, but having just read you're post I'm going to get off my bum right now and get out.
You're a star! x
Thats it guys. Always let your conscience be your guide, hahaa.

Can you call running up and down the house, wheezing and coughing whilst sorting out son who had car accident yesterday exercise? He's fine, but his be
beloved Nissan 300zx is a write off. Then an hour on the phone with insurance company, then in and out of house to help remove things from car before it was towed away? What about back rub for son, then walking talk around house for an hour?
Weirdest exercise yet for me..except walking around the entire town every day for 7 days while and praying waiting for other son to come out of an induced coma for severe asthma.
Couldn't I just climb a tree or scrub the driveway witha toothbrush?

Gillie Ruth, are both sons ok now?
If you also have asthma then be careful of the exercise you choose, and with the stress levels you have don't risk making yourself worse. I expect you already know this though.
We each need to fond a comfortable way to exercise that increases our fitness without risking complications to any pre-existing conditions.

Be well

Ok folks, day of reckoning. I have been to see the physio. She was impressed with my recovery from surgery, blood glucose, weight etc. also that I am exercising more. BUT it is no longer acceptable for me to claim my exercise as small frequent slow walks. Apparently every 6 to 8 weeks it is important to step up a gear and increase the intensity and duration of exercise. Oh dear! No more slacking. I am not able to walk much, so I am away to the pool for an intense aqua workout. Trying to think of something that I can do on the days I am not able to get to the pool. Oh no, might have to resort to vigorous house cleaning.

Blimey!
My run turned into a sprint!
I was due to have a van turn up to collect some artwork (I paint) this morning, but I thought I had time for a morning run with the dogs. On the return journey however, a white van came zooming past me (we're out in the sticks so I don't usually see much traffic). Anyway - I suppose I could have thrown myself in front of the vehicle, but instead looked on as they drove past and did nothing but give a weak wave.
Blast! There was no option but to sprint hell for leather back to the house to see if I could make a phonecall and ask them to come back!
As it turns out - that wasn't my van, so when my courier did turn up 10mins later I felt a bit of a plonker bright red in the face and still dripping from the quickest shower I've ever taken!

My skin is glowing today.:)

It's all going in the right direction Pipp! x

I won't be stopping at 42 either.
I sense a new Jamrox et al challenge in formation.
A name needed for our continuing escalating activity levels/ exercise.

Hi Pipp. Yes thankyou for asking, they are both well now, and take asthma medication very seriously. I have asthma as well as emphysema from babyhood asthma, but I do take care and walk a lot, or go to a ladies gym with instructors keeping an eye on me. Gardening is my favourite.
You are right, we do need to be careful.:)

Well I told everyone on my education course about this amazing website and this thread. I also argued the case for LCHF and they agreed that my weight loss and hba1c were impressive .....but they hoped I'd eat more carbs from now on! :banghead: Needless to say I'm still low carbing! Got into another size 16 dress today! Still can't get into the size 16 fat face dress but it's hanging there as inspiration!

I thought the 'butt workout' was gonna be a porn film at the beginning :hilarious:
Butt workout! !!!!! Am I missing something?!!! Whose butt? Brad Pitt? Mm brad Pitt! (Has to be taken away in straight jacket......) lol
