Brekkie: scrambled egg and bacon + a latte

Lunch: posh pork scratchings

Dinner: huge portion of fresh grilled salmon + even bigger Greek salad. Too full for anything except 4 squares 70%

I'm reordering @modesty007 's Awfully Posh Pork Scratchings from Amazon. They are amazing. One tiddly little bag is now my go to snack/meal replacement. They make a great breakfast, are ideal to prop me up on a dog walk, knock hunger down a peg, and help me to ketosis. They are not too salty either.

Thanks Modesty!

Brunch, boiled egg, mayo and bacon sarnie on bergen bread.

dinner roast pork, cauli, brocc, peas, cabbage, roasted butternut squash, mashed butternut squash, 100ml gravy.

Snack couple of digestive biscuits

Out for brekkie so had scrambled eggs, butter, loads of fatty bacon (could've been crispier if i'm honest :) )
Tomato

No lunch as stuffed

Chicken salad - tasted EVEN better than last night. I'll stink of garlic and ketosis tomorrow ;)

May partake in some jelly and cream later once rug rats are in bed...

Got a big pot of ratatouille on the go at the moment. It has kidney beans in it so will cover it in cheese to slow down the carbs.

Breakfast: cheesy omelette

Lunch: Greek yogurt, raspberries, cinnamon. Fennel tea

Snack: lump of Brie, creamy decaf

Dinner: ratatouille and cheddar

I was feeling unusually brave today so we decided to go swimming! Got all psyched up for it, but when we got there it was closed :( Closed until the end of August  due to the Commonwealth games. It isn't even being used as a swimming venue o_O So here I am in the heart attack capital of the universe and the only sports centre I can get to is closed for the summer. Will have to find a plan B.

On the bright side, I tried on my cozzie for the first time since losing 39 lbs and I can actually breathe in it now! :joyful:

Breakfast quorn sausages , turkey rashers, tomato, mushrooms
Lunch 12g smoked cheese
Supper who knows.. Every so often my innards and Metformin have a falling out and today is that day. Maybe something bland like an omelette and ham.

Edited for supper- made a mushroom omelette and had it with some bacon. At least something to accompany the Metformin.

That's a shame, Ethyl. How are you supposed to plan your meals if metformin intermittently throw a spanner in the works? :(

Most of the time I'm ok but every now and then it makes me nauseous and reminds me of its well known side effect. Mr e is enjoying a nice pie and pea supper since the planned salad for two with halloumi mushrooms didn't happen. I think he's probably happier.

Cheese omelette

Som tam and a few pork scratchings
( are the awfully posh ones any good Brunneria as they seem quite expensive, but if worth it I might try as I love pork scratchings!!)

Stir fried beef & broccoli in garlic with dash of soy and oyster sauce
Nut balls

@Weird Science ,
Yes, they are delicious, and (now that I am on a no-artificial-stuff kick, their main appeal is that they are simply pork and salt. :hungry:)
I got them from Amazon at £8 for 12, free p&p. didn't think that was too bad...

Brekkie: egg and bacon on toast
Lunch: nonexistent - not hungry!
Dinner: a stunningly odd but strangely delicious combination of chicken thighs, tandoori paste, double cream, cauliflower, peas and vintage cheddar :woot:
It was awesome!
And very filling.

I thought I'd posted this last night but it was still sat here today...so:
Yesterday
Brunch: bits of chicken thigh with left over broccoli, celeriac "roasties", and sour cream and tomato paste sauce. Nectarine with clotted cream and bits of broken shortcake.

Dinner: small piece of fresh salmon, baby asparagus, with a cream and king prawn sauce; pud was pretend Black Forest gateau - six lovely sweet black cherries, with one of Scandi's real chocolate muffins with cream and cocoa mix topping.

Supper was a bit drawn out and in two sections as I decided in the middle I was still hungry, so: remains of bag of mixed roasted nuts followed by a tiny piece of homemade shortcake, more cherries and the remains of my Black forest topping, mug of cocoa with hazelnut milk. And forgot to test BG afterwards....oops!

Drinks: not quite enough water, and two mugs of herb tea.

****

For some reason I was ravenous all night, and couldn't sleep and ended up browsing of teaspoonfuls of lovely almond butter... With the result that I slept nearly all day and had a mug of herby tea when I woke up late afternoon, then ate about 7.30.

Dinner was a sort of waldorf salad - 1/3 red apple, celery (including the leaves), chives, walnut, and chopped chicken thigh in a dressing made from sour cream with a dollop of mustard and chicken "dripping", with a piece of my cheese "shortbread". Pudding was cherries, clotted cream and chocolate muffin, as yesterday.

Made some tomato, fresh basil, and chicken stock soup, and some chocolate coconut balls this evening, and had one for a snack, and will have a bowl of the soup for supper, with chocolate cheesecake with a chocolate cream topping.

Ethyl are you taking the standard metformin? If so, ask to change to the slow release version, as this can be kinder to your system. I was OK with my first batch of the normal ones, but with second month the pharmacy gave me a different brand and this both lived up to its nickname of metfartin, and also made me really nauseous/queasy all the time. I practically lived on my granny's old tummy remedy of peppermint in warm water, and then saw the light and asked them to change me to the SR version, and I've been fine.

I see the nurse next week so may ask for those if it doesn't settle down again. Thanks.

Scram egg and sausage, coffee

Had friend over for lunch so treated her to an LCHF experience of cod, spring onion, garlic, cream, butter, spinach and cauli mash. Jelly and cream for afters.

Cheese bacon burger. It was so good! I don't miss the bun these days either.
