Yogurt and berries
Home made coleslaw and salami (is salami ok?!)
Wild rabbit stew with piles of veg - rabbit caught by me and my dogs yesterday!

Oh yes, forgot my new bad habit of grazing nuts all day!

B: carvery breakfast. I weakened and had a spoon of their cheese n onion potato hash. Plus coffeencream. BG was ok.
L: forgot
D: 2 delish roast duck legs with a mountain of Delia Smiths divine spiced red cabbage recipe.
S: awesome slice of stracciatella cake (thanks @WhitbyJet for the recipe!)
After a Carvery breakfast lunch usually is usually not necessary

B - mushroom omelette
L - fruit salad of nectarines, blackberries, strawberries and raspberries with extra thick double cream
S - coffee with cream and pork scratchings
D - beef stroganoff with creamy cabbage followed by rubarb and cream

B. None - massive mistake! :grumpy:
L. None - oh dear.
2.30pm, shaky and starving, hubby bought some digestive biscuits and ended up eating 6:nailbiting:, followed by 2 lamb burgers in bread rolls instead of my usual lettuce wraps.
Did then go to the gym for an hour:angelic: but bg was 9.3 at 5pm and 8.8 at 6pm.
D. Small portion of tandoori chicken, cauli bhaji and one small cauliflower tortilla.
thankfully bg now 8.30pm is 5.9.
think it was the biscuits, cant remember the last time I had biscuits.

Tomorrow is another day.......

Many thanks for your support everyone it's much appreciated, adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is the ****** but hopefully caught early so positive thinking!
Yes Brunneria this has really changed her thinking about everything, eating so healthy which is good for me, she always did do low carb / sugar free (minus the rice addiction) prayers to Buddha at least 30 mins a day, aluminium free deodorant, the list goes on...really does shake your life up (for the better) but still thankful as there are plenty other people worse off in life!

Sending healing prayers over the ether to you and Mrs WS

B: 2 coffees with cream
Brunch: yoghurt, cream berries and flaxseeds
D: nothing, however, I had guzzled a very large quantity of popcorn
Started to feel a bit peckish about 9pm so I made some scrambled eggs with a bit of cheese on top. I started to type this and suddenly felt very nauseous, shakey and hot and cold. Took my bg which was 3.9 - had a handful of raspberries a biscuit and made up some yoghurt berries and cream. Feeling a bit better now, but it just goes to show how you can't be too relaxed about your eating pattern :-/

B - 2 slices of wheaten bread with lashings of butter (ran out of Greek yoghurt)
L - least carby item on the snack menu at lunch with friend - Thai platter - and slimline tonic
D - leftover home-made chilli from last night with green salad, soured cream and light sprinkling of grated cheese.
Sugar free jelly and 2 squares of 95% Lindt choc

Yogurt and berries

I will remember you both in my prayers, and light enough candles to burn the house down for Mrs WS...

B: 2 boiled eggs, coffee with cream
L: epic. Bbq with guests over. Nibbled on Camembert, some dried sweetcorn snack, almonds, avocado/spinach dip eaten with celery. Then a small bowl mussels. THEN the main event: salmon, chorizo sausage, mini burger, egg, salad, cauli cheese (my recipe without any flour etc), green beans, onion, mushrooms, Halloumi. Gosh just looking at it makes me wonder how I ever ate dinner:
D: leftover chorizo sausages, Greek salad, Mayo.

Just wondering if the following are allowed on the LCHF diet (apologise if this has already been asked)...
Stock cubes, tomato purée, passata, full fat coleslaw (store bought), soya sauce.
Appreciate any advice...

No worries!

Here's how I feel about the foods on your list:

Stock cubes
I use them. But I choose good quality and check the ingredients. I won't touch anything with monosodium glutamate.
I'm currently using those knorr stock pot ones as cuppasoups at work, and love em. They are also a good way to make sure I get enough salt. Haven't had muscle weakness, floppiness or cramps since I started this.

Tomato puree. Check the carb content. I'm happy using it, others aren't. I figure that however high the carbs are, there isn't much in the teasp I'm gonna eat! ;)

Passata
Ditto

Coleslaw
Yes to full fat (esp the cheesy one :wacky:)
No to low fat, sultanas, pineapple and mandarin...

Yes to soy sauce (so long as it doesn't have MSG.

But it's worth checking your reaction to them all.
You may find your body reacts differently from mine.
:)

Im with you on this @Brunneria - I have a teaspoon of marmalade on my toast for breakfast - such a small amount it doesn't make any difference to bs
Don't do coleslaw - (cabbage is for cooking in my eyes ;))
passatta and tomato puree definitely use those - far better option than ready made sweetened tomato cook-in sauces and no stir fry is the same without soy sauce.

Going back to the teaspoons - we often look at the "per 100gs" figures and think woah, that's high percentage of carbs - but realistically do have to take note of how much we actually use......ties into the glycaemic load too...conrflour IS high in carbs but I find I use so little to thicken gravies it doesn't have any noticeable impact on my bs.....

Talking food I think I'd best hop off and feed the dogs or they'll be getting restless

@Pepsi Max - I have a book called GI & GL counter by Dr Wynnie Chan. It tells you the glycaemic index of food and glycaemic load but also fats, calories etc and gives these figures by the average portion size rather than per 100gs so its more meaningful. Got mine second hand off eBay for under £4....Its pocket sized so you could even take it shopping, or to restaurant or a friends house ......hope this helps - I find it good

I'm with this- I use stock cubes- like the Kallo ones. I even use gravy granules to thicken stuff as I only ever have a few tbsps of gravy per portion. Soy sauce is fine for me and I reckon that it isn't worth sweating the carbs in tomato puree as it's not as if you have a plateful of it per portion. Test and see is best advice.

Brekkie:
one sausage, bacon, scrambled egg, beans no suace, tomatoes. Coffee and cream.

Snack:
Pepper stick and houmous

Tea:
1st attempt at low carb cottage pie with steamed cabbage.
