Blood Sugar in High 20's and GP not helping, please advise

Hello Clive, how are you?

Yes, BG going down, quite pleased with myself.
Hi scottie , not so good at the mo' scottie , the hospital should sort me soon.
Scottie how are you ? I can see your levels are coming down slowly....let me relate to you what happened to me as my bs's came down from 28.6 to todays 5.2 ........as i finally realised that the docs advice was wrong.....i found this forum and started to lchf , the thing is that as diabetes affects our nerves( neuropathy) they are damaged by the excess glucose in our blood, well as our bs's go down and our nerves start to repair ...they recover feeling and its this that feels as though things are getting worse, but they are not!!!! My feet felt like i had pins in them , this did not last long about 4 weeks and now im free of it.
I hope this helps.

I am sorry to hear you are not so good Clive, I hope you feel better soon. xx

Yes, it does help, thank you - nobody has ever explained it to me before.

Please take care xx

Yes Clive, medication for anxiety - prozac. Haven't been measuring my meals. Suppose I should but not eating a great deal.

Egg & ham salad and a few strawberries for lunch but BG still 19.4.

Having lamb hotpot for tea, but with celeriac instead of spuds. Will be interesting.

Sick of feeling dizzy, lightheaded and shaky.

Scottie, in my own case, i had to portion control lchf and watch my bs's and the scales it's hard but really well worth it

We need to work out your bmi, the recommended calorie intake for you , and how many carbs you want per day

Well, I'm18 stone 8lbs and height 5 ft 4". I will try to find a BMI calc.

Ideally, will like to have 50-60g of carbs at the most.

Just had celeriac and don't like it, taste is like parsnips. So had lamb, small amount of carrots and small amount of spuds. Not doing so well today :(

Scottie , you are doing very well , your determined and resourceful, and you realise you need help,

1900 calories
Good now ,to kick start your lchf diet , 75 grams of carbs a day is not too low to start with , remember a good diet is one that consists of foods you like, as far as lchf allows! For instance i like roast dinners and eat them ! ( but only in small amounts) minus the potatoes !
