Blood Sugar in High 20's and GP not helping, please advise

I had my first taste of Greek yoghurt today. It made me gag. It's going to need something in it to make it more bearable. It's very thick too, i don't think that helped
Hi I get some frozen berries from the freezer and micro wave them, add some sweetener then when it's cooled down stir it into my yoghurt which is Yeo Valley organic full fat Greek.

Yes main thing is that its still within the prostate .
I had an op just before xmas last year for an anal fistula (sorry to be so personal) I had to come home and take care of 3 kids and I was so so very sore, utterly exhausted and literally could not sit down for a week. (Left with an open wound that needed daily packing for 4 weeks ) I had to lie on my belly rather than sit down. I hope your boss will give you time to recuperate, it is very important. Please take care of yourself Clivethedrive

Oh my that must have taken some bearing muggle71, all ok now?

Yes thanks, it's been a success so far but ive been warned it can return. Ive had bottom problems all my life from being a little toddler being terrified to poo to IBS as an adult which causes pain and discomfort especially on the scarring during a flare up. But things have been pretty calm except for the first day of lchf

I would advise that you phone your hospital and ask for the diabetic nurses and speak directly to them. This is urgent so please don't wait and let us know all is well. They will advise and will probably want to see you and look at insulin. They have far more knowledge about diabetes than your gp and wil drop everything to see you with sugars that high. You are at risk of a coma.

Well, I have found out that I cannot eat potatoes. Had a small amount yesterday in a hotpot and my BG went from 16 to 21 post 2 hours. Still high today at 19.4 so I shall be removing them completely now. It was the first time I had had them for a week.

Feel really terrible, not sleeping at all. Couldn't get into doctors again today but got some forms yesterday from a different GP, so will be filling those in and arranging an appointment for a medical. Went to dentist yesterday and had an injection to drill a broken tooth, I was shaking like mad but managed to sit through it, so quite proud of myself. Also, made an appointment at opticians for Friday. My eyesight is really bad at the moment.

Hope everybody is well. xx

Sorry to hear you've not been feeling well, at least you know now that potato is a no no from now on. But look at all the positive things you did yesterday, you're right to feel proud of yourself! You've done better than I can, I made a dentist appt but cancelled on the morning I was meant to go. I hope I find the courage you did and finally get myself seen. Super proud of you, I know how much that must have taken to do that. I hope everything works out on with your eyes, keep us posted how you get on :)

Hi Scottie,
I would say there is a lot of positives in the above.
Well done.
You probably know this, but I will tell you anyway. Don't drive yourself to the opticians, just incase they want to put drops in your eyes..
Stick with it.

Clivethedrive sending you all my very best wishes for tomorrow, will be thinking of you and really hope it all goes well. Take lots of care and hope to see you on here again really soon :)
