Could you freeze the cake?
I hate to waste food so I portion items to manageable sizes and freeze them.
I could if I'd thought to when I made it but it was also overcooked. It was handy for breakfast on the run today with getting up late. I bake my own bread, slice, and freeze it. That way I know I won't be tempted to cut thick slices....and its handy for toast for my daughter if she drops in for some dinner...
When I make curries, chilli, or stews and such my recipes are mostly family sized ones so I eat a portion, put one aside for the next day and freeze the rest so I have my homemade ready meals for when I've not the time, energy, or just don't want to cook.....

not posted for a few days but here's today so far
Pre-breakfast small slice of burgen well buttered
Breakfast: (eaten out and much later than usual) a "full English" selection of my choice as it was at our local carvery.... lots of bacon, 2 sausages, half slice of fried bread, 2 fried eggs and a serving spoonful of beans (6.2 post :joyful:)
Dinner: 2 slices of the burgen bread with pate (had 3 yesterday but bs spiked to 8.2 - won't be buying it again as its really sweet - just a good job I had bought the pate)
Tea: not christened as yet but I'll have a think whilst I'm giving the dogs' theirs..... then hopefully be watching PNE IF they are on a channel I have on Freeview...... can't see them on the BT Sports channel (listed but not available to me)

Just tried these. Couldn't eat a whole bag at once but interesting alternative snack. Has anyone else tried them?

No, but they could be nice ... Do they do just salted?
I tried salted popcorn and its surprisingly quite nice. As with those Kale chips I couldn't eat a full bag either.
