Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

Okay, I don't know much about menopause :sorry:

I had leftover mackerel with courgette and aubergine, plus a few tablespoons of brown rice :)
I had Greek yoghurt & berries 4 breakfast lunch out smothered chicken with salad & veg, t is salmon in a lime & creme fresh butter with salad. Supper handfull almonds.

Corn Flakes & Milk for Breakfast. Toast, butter & Honey for lunch and Spaghetti Bolognese (home made) for dinner tonight with a couple of glasses of Cote de Gascoigne.

Cacao-courgette porridge and then some mixed nuts for breakfast, because I was so hungry :angelic:

For lunch I had some homemade Thai veggie curry with courgette ribbons. I feel really full and my post-meal BC is 5.5 :D

Tonight I'll have an early dinner with the same curry and a bit of rice, before heading to the gym

Hi Ray2. I have also found that lager brings DOWN blood sugar levels over night but have been told that BSL go up first before coming down! (Have yet to prove that to myself.) Type 2 for 5 years.

It's 2pm and I have only had breakfast so far: scrambled eggs with cream, and bacon. Yum.

I am just starting to test and had problems with my new meter this morning.
Eventually got a reading of 8.8 but I think some of that was stress.
Just tested again before eating and was 6.4
Now eating porridge with semi skimmed milk and a small amount of Splenda to sweeten.

One navel orange at lunchtime. After that my BS reading was 7.7.
I am trying to keep carbs intake very low.

My reading was 5.1 before eating tonight.

Well I have been naughty and had some fish and half a dozen chips.
Just starting to test, so it was in the interests of science of course!

For brunch I had a poached egg on some gammon ham I boiled up last night.
Snack - 40g piece of Willies Cacao, Venezuelan Gold Rio Caribe 72 - commonly known as chocolate  6.5 1 hour after consumption.
Dinner tonight, Avocado and tuna melt wrapped in Romaine lettuce, with salad bits and homemade coleslaw.

Can I come for dinner please?

Share what you've eaten today with the rest of the DCUK community and maybe steal a few ideas for yourself!

Low carb contributions are of course welcomed, but please keep in mind that this is not the low carb diet section, and debates about diet should be kept out of this thread. Happy posting! ;)

I started the day with lacto free milk on bran flakes

For lunch I had a two eggs scrambles with 3 grilled rashers of bacon

Packet of crisps for a snack

Medication 2 x 500mg Metformin and 1 x 20mg atorvastatin each day.
