Has anyone ever looked into gluten insensitivity? I wonder if we all react to the carbs or the gluten? Also Kaz I have heard of something called gluten ataxia which is essentially an autoimmune condition which can cause balance issues as a result of a gluten intolerance. another thing to look into I know but worth considering x

Thought I would share this with you.
Low carb pancakes with strawberries Greek yog and cinnamonyum yum x
There isn't anything in it that would cause me too much of a spike, but we are all different. Linseed has some carbs in it and there would be sugar in the strawberries and Greek yogurt. Were you low before you ate? I'm. I sometimes think with me that if I'm a little on the low side before eating and I don't eat something that will raise me enough, I soon get low again. Not sure my lovely breakfast agreed with me. Felt fine until two hours post meal then started to get a room skinny feeling checked blood sugar and it was 4.3 so currently tucking into a mackerel salad. Wondering if the low was preceded by s spike so will check it carefully next time x
According to all criteria for the diagnosis of diabetes 1 or 2 random blood tests with a reading above 11.1mmol/L is diagnostic for diabetes, whether you have eaten or not. The HbA1c is a poor way to measure diabetes or disregulation of blood sugar as it does not pick up people who are going very high and very low. Acute hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia both carry serious risk factors.I was diagnosed with a stroke last month with no clinical evidence to suggest I had actually had one other then 'my story' the consultant told me I had either had a stroke or had MS. My story was that I had an odd episode where I started stuttering a lot for five mins was a bit shaky and felt a bit queasy and went pale. Looking back my cheek was twitching a bit too. All of which could be accountable for RH but was not considered. I started having violent tremors and twitching muscles a week later and then collapsed in a restaurant having munched my way through a bowl of chips having home hungry. My sugar didn't drop but I was definitely having a hypo and it may have dropped suddenly I suppose as was only 6.6 when tested and I know the carbs I put away would have had me up at 14 or more. Of course I only know this now I have been monitoring for a few weeks and my symptoms which were a lot of blurred vision dizziness and tremors are almost gone
