Another page from my sketchbook....

Torrential rain earlier, and then a beautiful hot day. App said temperatures were about 13C , but I was recording' temperatures of 23.5C....I went outside but the sun was too hot and my hands and face felt as though they were burning, and so I came back in...

The inside of my bungalow felt far too warm with internal temperatures of 21.5C. I have no heating, no central heating on and so it's a little strange my bungalow is too warm... the only thing I do differently to last year is I keep all the doors in the bungalow closed...

Does that make a big difference...

But that sun was definitely far too hot....

Night night

Sweet dreams...

Oh dear... this is refusing to upload my picture again and it is playing me up...

5.5 this morning.

A quieter day today with a lovely extra long break. I do love it when days work out like that.

Mr is improving slowly. I have given him strict instructions to rest, and hopefully he will.

My sister's dog is much better also. The vet thinks she has had some sort of bug. All her blood work was completely normal. Thank goodness.

As it was a lovely morning, I did my chores and shopping and spent a couple of hours in the front garden, mowing, clearing and tidying up., After lunch I was in the back garden relaxing in the sun, tidying up and reading. It was something I needed.
Hope you enjoy this sun. Because I feel it won't last much longer.
Enjoy your evening.
Best wishes

Another page from my sketchbook. This was done in watercolour paints...

The sun was really hot again today... the front of the house and the kitchen which are both self facing got too warm for me to be in them... and the butter melted....

Very tired. Working on my bedroom doing stuff out clearing stuff.....

My feet and toes are absolutely killing me.

I have found more pictures and paintings to post, but I really would like to do some painting now, but there is no room with this sorting and tidying... and I don't have any energy at the moment...

Night night from me...
Take care....

It doesn't want to,upload...so here the painting... from another site...

Am waiting for news from the hospital. Mr K went downhill today and is about to have emergency surgery on complications from surgery he had a few years ago.

All should go well, but I just cannot sleep. I cancelled classes when he rang me to say he was waiting for an ambulance. It was a shock and I still feel shaky.

That would be a heck of a shock...
I'm having a sleepless night as well...my sciatica playing me up and I can't lie down....

My hopes and wishes that all goes well for the emergency surgery for Mr K. And don't you forget to drink water xx

Hugs for both you and Mr K. Was that the problem over the last while, or is it something new? At least he is hospital and getting it dealt with. Hoping to hear better news soon.

10.4 at 05.00 today. This does seem to be a problem with not taking Metformin. BG is much harder to control and every time I move, it shoots up. Currently 8.4 (Libre just reminded me).

Lots to do today - I asked Neil to get a whole shelf (6ft long) of DVDs down - too high for me to reach these days, so that I could sort through them and get rid of ones I don't want. He did that and then started stripping further shelves (a whole wall of them) of Videos. I started off saying that he should just dump the whole lot since we don't have a video player any more, but he says we have one which "only needs connecting to a screen". I remember it, but it used to connect via a scart cable to our old TV. He says he can connect it to my desktop PC. But will it ever get done? Anyway - much sorting to be done.

Tonight I will try getting into my bed instead of the big chair. The hip is still sore, but perhaps not bad enough to keep me out of bed. I actually found a "big" black spider on my bed yesterday! My spider catcher came in very handy and it was evicted from the house in very short order. But it was actually on my bed. Aaargh!

Thank you @gennepher, @Annb and @ianpspurs. Just as he was about to go into surgery three doctors came out to tell him that they think the surgery could make him much worse and that exercise was the best option.
They sent him home at 1am with a bottle of morphine. I think he is a little better after a few hours sleep.
Actually, it is good that they realised in time that surgery could have made him worse.

That sounds like the best option @Krystyna23040 , exercise instead of surgery...I am glad that is the way it has turned out...I am sure both of you can keep on top of this situation.

More hugs xx

1758627856913.pngGood that surgery isn't needed after all. Let's hope that exercise (+ morphine when needed) will do the job.

That sounds more positive although morphine implies a fair degree of pain. Hopefully sleep and some (gentle) exercise supervised by a caring, knowledgeable expert could help. Are there any such people in the local area?

The next page in my sketchbook...
Watercolour paints...my Creative for today...

I was awake half the night with sciatica, so I slept in this morning a bit.... it is a lovely sunny day here...

I can't wait until I finish all this sorting and tidying... but there are another two rooms to do yet when I have finished my bedroom.... but I might have a painting break for a couple of days before I tackle the next room when I have finished my bedroom...

A cup of tea needed first before I start tidying and sorting my bedroom....

Take care

This site is still refusing to upload photos...

So a link for elsewhere...

Hug for the sciatica but like and thank you for continuing to share your art plus tidying and sorting. A tea break and painting break both sound just the job.

Best wishes to Mr k.

Hell of a shock finding out like that.
Hard not to worry.

Hoping times the key factor here.

Enough rest then onto exercises.

Can't believe they'd want or let him do too much right now .

Given give him me & Lauren's best wishes.
