Had a lovely Christmas day. Very relaxed. My sister came round for Christmas dinner. We had lamb shanks which were delicious and easy to cook as they were bought pre prepared.

We popped into Tesco to get a few things for daughter and family's visit on Sunday.
Hardly anyone there, which was good.

It is Friday isn't it?
A relatively quiet day, been to footie and still shivering.
Mrs L has been allowed to have a day in bed.
It is the fourth anniversary of her father's death which still impacts her memory.
Asking this morning if it is time for me to go back to work...
Off to bed early, I'm still sneezing, coughing and a runny nose.
Some paracetamol to put me asleep I hope.

And it would be sad if you left over an issue that 'might' have a solution at some point

Like others, you have opened my eyes to the difficulty others might face with speech/sound that I hadn't really considered, if I am honest

Not only are your posts a real world lesson in walking in another's shoes,

But You are an absolute legend & inspiration for the true grit , determination and imaginative ways you majestically deal with life's trials & tribulations facing difficulties that would defeat lesser mortals

To me you've also shown there is very little that can't be overcome with a 'can do' attitude like yours .

Respectfully I see you as cross betweens Giles grandma & wonder woman.

The grandma persona dashing into a phone booth only to reappear as Linda carter when a super hero is needed to defeat the 'computer says no' jobsworths that infest far too many positions where we need a more common sense approach.

....so please stay, we (me & others ) truly benefit and enjoy your posts.

6.2 this morning.

I wore my warm balaclava for the dog walk today.
It was so cosy. I bought it a couple of years ago because of a scathing one star review on Amazon.

The review said 'don't buy this balaclava it is far too warm for our UK climate'.

Obviously perfect for me.
