What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I think you missed the last S off.... stupid.

Well at least that's the one I heard used many moons ago ;)
I prefer- straightforward - but yes that’s the how the acronym is used 90% of the time, the stupid wasn’t originally meant to be offensive but some do find it offensive I suppose :)

FBG 6.2 - it must have been fate because I just don’t do FBG but did it this morning as I was feeling a bit off

A well rounded 7mmols this morning.

Don't call me stupid!
And don't call me early!
Call when you want,
And me name isn't Surely.

Laundry day today. So Mrs L got a rude awakening, kicked her out of her pit after the morning carer had been. She is looking more like herself today but obviously still misremembering things.

The wagons are circling as the many care providers, social, family and the people who are try their utmost to help are continuing to come through the revolving door.
It all helps.

Best wishes.

No FBG today but it has been high all day. I got through on the 111 number and ended up in A&E. It seems I have a minor heart problem and pneumonia but there were no beds available so I have been sent home with an oxygen supply and antibiotics. Nurses to come in daily to check on me. Antibiotics already upsetting my stomach - maybe because tum hasn't seen food for 2 days.

Omg what a day you had.

How awful they couldn't find you bed, particularly given the two conditions...not good enough.

At least I hope the home visits keep a close eye on you

As if you want the worry alongside the pneumonia.

Stay safe @Annb
Best wishes for a speedy recovery

Thanks both for the good wishes. I will recover. Slightly disconcerted by the doctor deciding that we had to have a discussion about resuscitation in the event ... Not that there is any likelihood, of course ... Can we just decide on this now and get it out of the way? Do I want my ribs to be broken at that stage? Being sensible, of course I should agree, but I thought I was just dealing with arthritis. Now have a DNR note on my file.

BG was 6.7 at about 05.00. Just eating some plain crackers to help my stomach deal with antibiotics.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen

Blood sugars this morning were 7.1

@Annb Wow what a journey you are on. Here’s to a swift recovery.

@Lamont D I raise my hat to you for your patience and care.

I’m lost, I have no medical appointments today, I have some medical notes to read up on, that’s all :)
Mrs J if and when she lurches from her pit / lair will be applying full supervision, my task might be to sneak out from her ever watchful gaze.

What happened to national bin day? I blame the festivities, idea complain by email to the council, I’m going to have to end this posting, far too many ideas are now manifesting……

Stay safe, stay warm and please share the sanity pills, I’ve lost mine a long time ago.
Edit
Koffy is calling, loudly and loud enough to wake Mrs J. :-(

So sorry you have to deal with this @Annb .
Hopefully, home is a better environment than hospital for recovering. Keep warm , keep hydrated , and accept all the help available. Ask for more help if it is not forthcoming.
Wishing you well.

My fbg improved today 6.1. I would prefer lower, but it will do for now.

6.2 this morning

I have been very sensible and followed A&E advice and relaxed on my recliner chair in the conservatory instead of joining Mr K on the early morning walk with Bonnie.

I had my eyes closed and was sort of snoozing when they returned. What I didn't expect (nor did Mr K) was that Bonnie would act as though she hadn't seen me for months and literally launch herself from the doorway at me.

As she made contact with my face I actually felt my nose move. Ouch!!! Blood spurted out of my nose. Complete chaos.

Luckily nose not broken and doesn't hurt and actually isn't even looking as though it will swell up.or bruise.

This has never happened before. Hopefully will never happen again.

6.1 is actually still quite good. I must admit that I also love to be in the 5s.

I do hope that and that your recovery goes well @Annb

9.3 for me this morning. All my own fault for eating a left over mince pie after my very sensible meal last night.

Nanny sitting this afternoon for a 4 year old.

Hope you start to feel better soon @Annb “those” conversations are always difficult to have.

Ah the mince pie carb creep, that ensues.. @Lakeslover.
I confess, it was the cause of my recent fbg chaos.
Only need to veer from the straight and narrow once and the craving starts. I don’t even like mince pies!

Edit typo.
