What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

7.7 today, been a bit remiss with posting as on a short holiday break in Spanish sunshine and banned by family for being too "precious" regarding available foods. Unfortunately very little anyway in low carb choices as resort mainly catering for the tourists with pizza, burgers and pasta bars in abundance. We did manage a steak night which cost more than the holiday but that was still heavily carbed with garlic bread, french fries or jacket potatoes as the only sides available, cancelling out any advantages of a steak. However numbers never exceeded the 9's when I could sneak away in private and test (what has my life come to?) More worryingly though is my predicted Hba1c has shot up from mid 40's to low 60's (5.9-7.5% for the non UK) which does not bode well for my blood test at the month end or thereabouts. Oh well off to slum it in the sun for a few hours and boil off some of those carbs.

It’s annoying isn’t it how restaurants can’t adapt to low carb. In a restaurant recently I asked for my chips with my steak to be replaced with salad but omg you’d have thought I’d asked for the impossible!!!

Years ago I ordered gammon, egg and chips, without the chips. It did come without the chips, but with a big slab of cake instead, reason given - because I wasn't having any chips.

I’ve honestly never had an issue with restaurants. Mind you I rarely eat out….but when in the airport heading to Mexico from Calgary, I was able to order eggs, bacon and sausage from the side dish menu, as suggested by the waitress.

Today was 5.9 according to Dexcom…I didn’t double check. Sugars still high before lunch but slightly better than the past few days. No gym today as I took hubby for a procedure at the hospital. Did walk the dog around the neighbourhood in the fresh snow…just 2 cm but it was so pretty, especially with the sun shining.

libre 3.6 fingerprick 5.8

dsn called complaining lows... isn't too happy that I'm not fingerprick testing each and every time. why bother when consistantly reads for me around the same amount lower? if wasnt consistant sure i'd see point. still need to work on stabbing self you'd of thought after year+ would be used to it.

lots of lows according to libre. fingerprick tells otherwise. still several mmol out :O
confirmation date for lumber fusion came through the mail, managed to change it for after daughters exams so she wont stress over me, delighted hospital was able to accomodate! I do a fair amount of exercise at the moment worried what the lack of exercise will do sugar levels.

attached the stats dsn whining about. lowest fingerprick been 4.6

ketones 0.4 lowest been in ages have upped carbs a little more over last couple of weeks extra 16g per day. single plain biscuit in between meals.

Blood levels still running high…in the sevens, all day. I’m very concerned. Hoping it goes down once I’m done the antibiotics, but I did google the antibiotics
hope you feel better soon :)

5.3 this morning, again stupid early thanks to the sweats and nightmares.
hopefully you'll have a better nights sleep this evening
