Type 1 Only day 4 of Libre and it's slightly coming off after a bath?

Anyone else had this? I'm sceptical that this can last another 10 days. The sticky pad is firmly attached to my arm but the sensor has started to come away from the sticky pad if that makes sense. Only a little, it's still attached and working. Just worried it's going to not survive 2 weeks!

    Type 1 Is this normal?

Ah I see! This libre is going to give me so much information. There is definitely something wrong with my routine at the moment. I'm not sure if I need to increase my Lantus or not. I'm already on 36u at night which feels like a lot. My bolus doesn't seem to be covering my carbs and carbs...

    Type 1 Is this normal?

Hey all. I finally got the Libre on Monday after years of asking because my diabetes control has been awful the last 4 years. I had covid in Nov and since I've been unwell for a very long time and my diabetes control got worse - last hba1c was 110. I've been off work for 2.5 months with...

Bolus working for corrections but not for food? I'm also taking Amitriptyline.

I thought sick day rules were only for infections and things your body actively fights off such as cold and flu? I didn't think migraines or a neck injury/nerves (If that's what's wrong) would impact sugars? I've only noticed the insulin resistance this week. Even when I had a very weird and...

Bolus working for corrections but not for food? I'm also taking Amitriptyline.

Thank you. I did wonder if increasing Lantus would help. My Lantus dose has been too high for a while but every time I lower it slightly, I end up having problems. My recent bloodwork showed high white cell count and low vitamin D but I had a cold about a week ago during the test. I was...

Bolus working for corrections but not for food? I'm also taking Amitriptyline.

Hey all. Been poorly the last month and no answer yet but it seems like a nerve issue or muscle problem in my neck causing constant migraines, nausea and weakness and a bunch more symptoms but that is another can of worms. I'm taking amitriptyline but have not taken any for 48 hours. Noticed...

Type 1 Anyone else ever experienced symptoms like this?

Yes, my doctor mentioned that but I was much better from covid in February. This feels like something else.

Type 1 Anyone else ever experienced symptoms like this?

Hey all. Sorry this is long but I feel like I'm losing my mind and wanna know if anyone else has experienced this. I've been feeling really unwell lately, so much so that I cannot work or go out or do much. I had covid in November which then triggered a flare of gastritis and I've been on 40mg...

Type 1 Question about Lantus and being left out the fridge

Hi guys, Have a quick question. I've had my Lantus delivered twice recently and on both occasions, it was not cold when delivered. It wasn't warm either, it just felt tepid. My pharmacy is not far so it won't have been out more than 1 hour. I am aware that once out of the fridge, insulin keeps...

    Eye problems - diabetes related?

Hey guys, I'm 31 and I've had type 1 since 2012 so this year will be my 9th year with diabetes. My control started out amazing but has slowly gone downhill since 2018 and I would say it's in the yellow zone, not great but not terrible. My sugars run in the low mid teens most the time despite...

I think I am being discriminated against at work?

Thanks guys, I think splitting the 15 minute breaks into smaller chunks that I can just take when I need them seems reasonable. I can't see them arguing with that and that is a really good idea.

I think I am being discriminated against at work?

Hey guys, Need a bit of advice here. I'll keep this as short as I can. I work for a company where I am on the phone so we have ''states'' to put ourselves in such as ''active'', ''lunch'' etc. I work 9-5 style shifts, and we get a 1 hour lunch break. They recently introduced 2 extra paid 15...

Are diabetics more susceptible to anemia, even if your diet is good?

Did you experience the symptoms I'm having? I don't have much appetite, but I swear a cup of Bovril made me feel better.

Are diabetics more susceptible to anemia, even if your diet is good?

Hello all, I am feeling very ill since Wednesday and it's all the textbook symptoms of anemia. I feel awful. I keep crying for no reason, I have a dizziness and headaches pretty much 24/7, my eyes feel weird, pale gums, palpitations, and my head just feels like I've been hit with a blunt object...

Type 1 Heat and high blood sugar that refuses to go down - any one else?

Anyone else getting this? I've taken SO MUCH novorapid today and my blood sugar just refuses to go below 15. I am on a low carb diet and I've literally eaten a protein shake today (20g protein, 1.4g carb and I bolused for the protein), cooked ham and lettuce/cucumber for lunch today and the odd...

Type 1 Does anyone else find that the sun makes them feel ill even after 5 minutes? Diabetes related?

Thanks Rokaab, I might bring it up to my doctor. It seems to be sunlight that causes it rather than heat. I hate the heat, but it seems to be triggered by the sun at high peak times of the day. I am still dealing with cramps in my lower abdomen.

Type 1 Does anyone else find that the sun makes them feel ill even after 5 minutes? Diabetes related?

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is doing well and had a good weekend of great sugars - I've found since lockdown my horrible diabetes control has improved drastically. Just wondering if anyone else has the same experience with sun - specifically sun from May- August time and usually between the...

Covid 19 - are we in high risk?

I've been in touch with my doctor last week and he said we are vulnerable. I am signed off to work from home until the end of the month. After the update today I will assume I have to stay in for 12 weeks. Better safe than sorry. Plus my Hba1c is rubbish at 74, so I am probably higher risk.

Type 1 I'm sick and have ketones in my urine and last BG was 20.7. What do I do?

That's another factor - I am still contagious. I've got yellow rubbish coming out my nose and throat and I feel disgusting where I have had no energy to shower. I've called work today and said I will likely not be in until Monday, and I've called my DSN to request a document that will explain to...
