    I've got a Tefal actifry - it makes me feel virtuous when we have chips - something I hadn't had for a long time before buying it! We also have a garlic grater which we bought in France years ago - it is like a small dish with a serrated top. Easy to use and clean :)

    thanks for your reply CR. I have had my thyroid tested and it is fine. I have B12 injections. My GP has referred me to the hospital for a sleep study. I am taking Novorapid (3x40 a day) and levemir (2x150 a day) and my hba1c is 8.5 :crazy:

    A congratulatory post

    Totally agree - this forum has definitely saved my life in just a few months. I was just about suicidal back in November, and have turned around my diet, decreased my insulin, dropped my Hba1c by 1.6 - all in a few months. Thanks everyone on here...... :D

    well, had my hba1c result this afternoon, and it is now 7.6 (from 8.8 in November) so the low carbing is definitely working. Thanks everyone for your support - I couldn't have done it without you all! :D Carolyn x
