Disappointed in myself, how do I fix this?

An update...Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement and non judgement. I am the type of person that can really beat myself if I feel I have let myself down. I have been taking things one day at a time but 6 days of the week am low carb (no breads, pasta, treats, rice etc) and eat...

I've hit a rut, back to the beginning

Yes @lucylocket61 you are right! I think part of it is, I can control most of my intake in the week i.e no sugar, mainly proteins with some veg and no carbs, sometimes I have protein only alongside a fast of at least 16:8. On the weekends, I maintain my fast protocol on Saturday but on Sunday...

I've hit a rut, back to the beginning

@Goonergal Yes I had a sort of food list from back in the day, i think I've kind of turned into a bit of a rebel as I cannot seem to stick with them. I will refresh my menus and have a look at some new ones on diet doctor that I could maybe try out to see if they make the cut. I definitely...

Disappointed in myself, how do I fix this?

@bulkbiker my longsuffering husband bless him is low carb and what I noticed is that he tries to stay consistent almost waiting for me to rejoin him! My kids are another matter lol I think I have just become obsessed with food so to speak, in the last 4 weeks, I've started IF and partial...

Disappointed in myself, how do I fix this?

And that is it @SaskiaKC I lost interest in the foods. Its not that they were not enjoyable, they were but I struggled a bit eating more fat than my low fat diets used to tell me. I still cut fat off meat and eat skinless chicken etc so I think at times I may not have been getting the full...

Disappointed in myself, how do I fix this?

Thank you, it always seems harder on the second, third, forth go around probably because of the knowledge that it can be done and I let it slip. Carb creep is definitely a problem for me, I can have an occasional treat if I factor it in like after sunday dinner but I have always been an...

I've hit a rut, back to the beginning

That was exactly my problem! The treats became regular habits and comfort food until they became out of hand, now that I have cut them back out alongside the carbs which also came back into my diet, I hope things can change it just feels so frustrating that the results I had before are...

Disappointed in myself, how do I fix this?

Sorry to come back posting after so long with negativity, I have no where else to go and feel helpless. I was diagnosed in 2016 as T2 and recommended medication. Thankfully I found this forum and managed within a few months to get my HBA1C levels into just below pre diabetic range without...

I've hit a rut, back to the beginning

I hope maybe someone can share some encouragement. I am so confused and not even sure what I'm confused about. In 2016 I was diagnosed T2 and managed to kick it to the curb with LCHF loosing weight and lowering my HBA1C to just under pre diabetic numbers. Then I lapsed big time. Weight starting...

    Remission?

Yes indeed @Pipp she has had a long medical road but is doing very well which allowed me time to concentrate on myself. I have managed to shift 3 stone of weight and still have maybe another stone and a half to go! Really looking forward to this year!

    Remission?

Hi all I haven't been on here for a while but still read the posts for encouragement and inspiration. I've continued following the lchf lifestyle since March last year when I was diagnosed and my previous hba1c saw a good reduction in numbers. I've just had another one carried out and I am...

    Cough medicine

So I've been feeling really under the weather for the last few days. I assume that my usual dose of covonia is out. Are there any effective syrups I can use to calm my chest and break up nasties?
