    cgm anxiety

I have the 780g but am not funded for closed loop. I do however use the Dex One ( which I turn into a G6 with the Anubis transmitter) . From what I have read from USA members on Facebook groups, the Dexcom is the preferred option for sensor as there are ways to extend its life and make it...

    cgm anxiety

You should check out the Anubis transmitter for G6. They have made it so the batteries are replaceable and the warm up is only 50 minutes... Can also extend sensor life, although I have not tried doing that.

Hi, I am waiting to see my Gastroenterologist in May as I strongly believe I have dumping syndrome. I am type 1 for 25 years with other complications. Switching pump while still in warranty? So many problems

Thank you for your replies. I am still having issues. I was awake all night again after a massive spike following dinner. Seems my insulin just did not work.... Gave it the 4 hours to do what it should but sure enough reservoir was full of bubbles and had the leaky residue under the o rings (...

Switching pump while still in warranty? So many problems

Hi. I have been with Medtronic for 8 years and never had any problems until recently when my reservoirs started leaking under the stopper / o rings. Replacement reservoirs from different lots and a replacement pump has not fixed this issue. An older reservoir I had in a travel bag ( it expired...

    Sleeping

Also to add I would get the GP to run a full set of bloods. If she is anaemic or deficient in other areas ( iron, folate etc ) this can also have a bit effect on energy levels. I would ask for at the least... Full kidney panel, full liver panel, full blood count, vitamin panel, thyroid panel...

    Sleeping

Hi When I was your daughter's age I went through a similar thing. I still struggle with it now, although I'm much more in control ( I'm 38 ) Had a rough ride leaving home at 16 and I just didn't really care about my diabetes. ( I always took my insulin but I went days without checking my...

    Does Erythritol raise blood sugar?

This is probably a really stupid question... Google tells me that Erythritol does not raise blood sugar. How can that be when the nutrition into is showing 100g of carb per 100g of Erythritol... So the same as sugar?? Am I missing something here lol TIA

    Overwhelmed and defeated newbie T__T

Hi, It sounds like you are doing all the right things & giving it your all. Be proud of that. This is still a new diagnosis for you and a LOT to take in. Even after 25 years I struggle ( not in the best place with it right now but it will pass) and there sure are times when nothing makes...

When you split the dose, how big do you make the gap?

I have the exact same problem... jence why i am still awake at 2 45am ( although I'm finally headed in the right direction) see attached CGM graph. I ate where the red arrow is. Type 1 Low Carb & Ketones - Is it safe?

Type 1 here The lower carb I go the better my control. For the first time ever I have stable blood sugars and I feel good... not hungry etc. However, I have ketones of between 0.5 and 2 ( with normal blood glucose ) , my clinic say to eat more carbs and inject for them to get rid of the...

    Rising sugars on pump changeover

Hi Del How did you find the pump break? I am seriously considering the same but wondering what my diabetes team will think. I don't want to stop the pump completely. I just need to go back to basics for a while without all the added factors to consider ( is it a bad site, is the cannula kinked...

    Reservoir Leaks?

Same thing happened when I tried my 640g pump... I ended up with ketones 2.4 and everything rising. I don't have a reservoir from a different batch I can try. Medtronic are triaging their calls so still waiting for a call back... same with my diabetes clinic, I only get through to the admin...

    Reservoir Leaks?

Sudden need for much less insulin.. Finally an answer?

Hi, some of you may remember my posts back in January where literally overnight my insulin requirements more than halved and I was hospitalised with severe hypos and gastro problems. After 5 months, over 2 stone lost without trying, continued gastro issues I finally have some answers (I hope!)...
