2016/17 Football Season

We drew with Stoke mid-week: we're going to have to do better than that if we want to make Europe again next year. I'm a bit concerned that we aren't making any use of what ought to be a relatively easy month to pile on some points. Mind you, we have seven games this month and a minimum of seven in January as well, which isn't exactly helping.

No game midweek!
Clash of the Titans, Saturday, away at Lincoln.
Rovers taking over a thousand supporters, for a National league fixture!
Could have season defining status.
Then again, any result, any points will do!
Looking forward to the trip to Lincolnshire.
C'mon Rovers!

Good luck to all our teams.

We played really well except first ten minutes and didn't deserve to lose.
We are second at Christmas, I'll take that, as I'm sure Carlisle will!
Just under half the season to go and a lot of footie to be played.
Believe we will be there at the end and I think that we will kick on from this performance. Our bubble games against Macclesfield over Christmas and New year are next! Hoping for six points there!

That's two very long trips back from the north west in one week for me :( I'm told we went home from Everton via @Lamont D land....:)
I was at bluenose central (Goodison) the week before to watch our youth get beat by them in the fa youth cup!
Watched both games and you must be frustrated by the results but Wenger won't admit to the defeats by deflecting blame on the officials!
Big Merseyside derby tonight, really not bothered in result but will watch with interest!

Saints play Spurs this evening at Saint Mary's. The last home Saints-Spurs match I saw in the Christmas holiday period was an FA Cup game. The Spurs Manager was Glenn Hoddle, who had been poached from Saints a few months before and he got a lively reception. Saints thrashed them, four nil.

This time we are once again hosting a Spurs team whose manager was poached from Saints (Pochettino) and it's Christmas. I am very much hoping that history will repeat itself ..... :D
