2017/2018 Football Season

Chelsea clawed back to win 2-3. That was bad luck for Saints they played very well. Now its up to the Town to salvage at least a point from our game with Watford. Still a 4 point gap between us and relegation. Its not enough considering Saints have a game in hand and every chance of escaping. :eek:

Yeah I can understand your frustration mate but the season isn't over yet you are just 4 points adrift with 5 games to come. If we don't get anything today It'll still be wide open and you'll still have a game in hand. Gunna be an interesting run in. Hold on tight.

Woohoo we actually won. I cant believe that and now with a 7 point gap between us and the Saints that surely must almost secure us another season in the Prem. Palace won as well and Swansea drew so now Saints have it all to do. Stoke play Wet Spam on Monday night.

Draw for Carlisle I guess better than losing. :)

Yeah, a really good win against another play off contender, a good game as well!
Clear in second place now, the leaders, Macclesfield, only drew, and have two quite tricky games left, and (a really big if!) If they don't get another point, and we win all ours, we could win the league! (Did say a big if!)

Four games to go before playoffs. Onwards to Dover (again!) Tuesday, Gonna be a long day Tuesday!

Great win for udders, point for Carlisle, sorry Jay!

Well done. Tbh, you guys deserve to stay up, and we don't. Time to start planning for the Championship although I suppose the traditional summer draining of any talented players from the squad will take even more of a toll this year....

Man City can now celebrate tonight after West Brom beat Utd. Well pleased for them.
Wolves were celebrating last night after gaining promotion to the Prem :) Just who they replace I guess It'll be West Brom and maybe Stoke and whoever is the 3rd unlucky one we have to wait and see. :eek::watching:

Its not over yet mate. You could still oust us. 2 wins and a draw and that's us caught. We could do with another win and I think Everton are the only one that we could possibly do that to. If it is you that goes down It'll be sad to see you go but I'd then be requesting you give our neighbours (Leeds) a right thrashing twice. :D Lets wait and see now you have got a game on Thursday so good luck with that :)

Ah yes dear old Newcastle beating Arsenal it seems Arsenal have a terrible away record of late. That should be good news for us as we play host to them on our last game of the season. Hopefully we will be safe before then and in which case it wouldn't matter which way it went. There's still chance Saints can escape but hopefully not at our expense. :eek::D
 
Good job Wet Spam grabbed an equaliser last night. Its put Stoke right behind the Saints on goal difference. Now that's 2 teams we have chasing us :eek: Deffo need to perform well at Everton a week on Saturday. All eyes on the Saints game Thursday night now. :watching:
 
Stoke fans all seem to think they are doomed. Surely if they are doomed then so to are Southampton cos both have same points and both are same 5 points from safety. None of em are doomed till its mathematically certain that they are unable to escape. We aren't mathematically safe yet. Going to be a very interesting run in now. May the best team stay up.
