all is not well

That sounds like a strange existence indeed.
It makes me think of my dad, who was tube fed during the last 6 months or so of his life, and on ever increasing doses of morphine. Life was still very much worth living for him during that time, but I also think it was different, a transitioning period.
He had moved to my place in the middle of nowhere from Amsterdam, and the GP asked him how he liked to have moved.
His reply was that it was too quiet around here for living, but a very good place for dying, and he was happy to be here.

I don't think anyone can truly understand what it's like to be this ill unless they've been there, but I truly hope being kept as comfortable as possible makes things doable for you during this strange existence.

Thinking of you @lucylocket61 .

Hoping your husband is reading the whole series of Little House in the Big Woods - the books in my opinion are much better than the TV series and I have happy memories of my mother reading them to me when I was young (and reading them myself when older).

You are missed here, it's lovely to read your posts when you look in.

We have our battles and we have to do our best with what we have. It is what it is!
