I usually buy the ripen at home ones from Aldi they are four in a pack just the right size to eat a whole one. I put one on the window sill and keep the others in the fridge until I need another one out to ripen. I do like to eat them when they are firmI noticed that too. For me they are on a par with coconut porridge and Lidl Rolls - ‘orribleI had never eaten avocado. Lat year I decided to try them. I made a mess of the first, trying to get the flesh out of the skin and from round the core. Threw it away. Tried again, still made a mess but managed to eat it. It tasted awful. I decided they aren't worth the bother.

The coconut porridge I can agree with, but the Lidl rolls were sublime!
Avocado chunks, or slices, with mozzerella cheese, tomato and basil, all drizzled with Olive oil and a sprinkling of whichever fresh herb you fancy.
Make sure avocados are ripe, and eat immediately or they will go black.
Isn’t it strange how we are all different, I love the coconut porridge, can take or leave avocados and really disliked Lidl rolls!
