Hi all. Have not posted for some time as I was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier in the year and have been going through treatment which finished last week (Yay!!) I am completely clear of the disease and managed to get through both chemo and radiotherapy with few side effects. The only thing which bothered me was during the chemo I had to have steroids and these made my BG levels go pretty high, ending in the 8s and 9s and sometimes double figures. Despite me continuing to eat low carb throughout and walking regularly I could do nothing about it. However, since chemo finished at the end of July my levels have gradually come down again and are now generally in 5s and 6s again. I'm sure a few months of relatively high levels won't have done me any harm but I'm glad to be getting back to normal
