Blood Sugar in High 20's and GP not helping, please advise

Just got back home , i'm a private hire lux' minibus driver scottie, had coca cola exec's on board today doing site visits to various london stores, they seemed quite proud of the sugar based rubbish they sell ( how i kept my mouth shut i don't know)
Had private doc give me prostate a check( tears) said what we already knew " found a lump on prostate it needs surgery " so next wed it is! :(

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that Clive, big, positive hugs coming your way. xx

I used to drink 4 x 2l bottles of Coke a day.

My breakfast omelette was fried in butter. Ive had my omelette and some chicken and peppers in a maggi seasoning bag for dinner so far today. How have I done?

Is that all? Have you had your evening meal yet? There is very little fat in that lot. I think you might benefit from buying Trudi Deakin's Eat Fat book, and investing in the Carbs & Cals book. Both available from the X Pert website shop. http://www.xperthealth.org.uk/home/trudi-deakin

Scottie's suggestion about using My Fitness Pal website is a good one, but you do have to be very careful when you use the foods on their data base as many have the wrong amounts. They are all member submitted, and not everyone enters them correctly or with UK products. I use it, but I always check the labels etc and enter my own rather than use their data base. Once that is done, it is excellent for keeping track of your carbs and cals, proteins and fats.

I don't tend to eat after 6 anyway without doing an eating plan, I always end up feeling sickly so that's it for me today im afraid

Very impressive Clive, you seem to have a good job. I bet it's interesting to say the least.

I think you may have to include more in your daily allowance, you only seem to have had 2 small-ish meals today, is that correct? Maybe try and have three so you are getting your fat intake, or include some snacks. It's just finding what's right for you and then it will work, with low carbs and high fats. I must admit, I am finding it hard to have 3 meals daily. Also, don't cut out the carbs altogether as that could cause you to be ill.

This is like the blind leading the blind, haha.

We'll get you there soon, don't worry xx

Oh, that's a shame Clive, you could have come and picked me up for a magic carpet ride, haha.

Isn't working so much better when you love your job? So glad you like it, are they okay about you having time off for your op, I do hope so.

BG 2 hours after eating is 17.4 so not so good today. Though (and waits for the telling off) I somehow seem to have forgotton to take my medication today. *hangs head in shame*.
