Still averaging 6.1 in the day so all good
Day 3. I'm loving it now I'm making it properly. Getting no end of housework done too. My fasting sadly was 9 today a big jump but I'm putting it down to the sad news I've just had. Its probably only a blip and I'm trying different portions of food trying to maintain my weight. Id actually put on a pound yesterday so that's good news

Use a nice ground coffee Lenny. You may be surprised. I'm no great lover of coffee eitherIm tempted to try it even though I've never found a coffee I like.

Ok gonna show my coffe ignorance here. If i get some coffee beans, can i grind them in my coffee grinder (i use it for my flaxseed) and then just pour on hot water and hey presto coffee? Then obviously butter and coconut oil?

My ramblings for anyone interested ...
My initial reaction on discovering bulletproof coffee -(from a tweet I believe) was butter in coffee - YEUCK!
Having looked into it a bit further I decided I'd try bulletproof-esq coffee - which was more of a Gallic coffee without the Whiskey in it!
Although I enjoyed it, I didn't get the results I was looking for - in fact, apart from the taste, it was a complete failure!
I now make my bulletproof coffee as it was designed to be made - freshly ground coffee (by me and not bought from the supermarket) with unsalted butter from grass fed cows (usually Kerrygold) and the MCT oil. Blended using a stick blender.
It tastes awesome and one mug allows me to extend my fast to 14 hours daily and has even sustained me to past 19 hours! I have to add my brain has noticed the difference too - much sharper and increased memory function.
I would highly recommend ditching the coconut oil in favour of the MCT oil - the latter is flavourless and has non of the longer chain triglycerides ( C8,12, C14, C16, C18) which although have health benefits (I use coconut oil in my cooking) - stall the intended purpose of bulletproof coffee - Intermittent Fasting.
It has become my staple breakfast - I'd highly recommend giving it a try!
JudithI normally have to drink Kenco decaff, because any caff coffee sends my pulse and BP rates sky high - has done as long as I can remember. So does Bulletproof NOT have this effect on anyone else who otherwise avoids drinking full-caff because of raised BP etc?, I'd be really interested to know, as having researched it today, I would love to try the B'proof regime.
